Chapter 1: Roger left Hippocoon

He Left The Nightlight On 🌝... Hseiki Lebanon supermoon moon ... (Baïssoûr, Mont-Liban, Lebanon) - Lebanon in a Picture

At an enclosed room in the castle Methonia, a meeting was taking place. A long table was in the middle of the room and Professor Finn stayed at one end of the table. With him Professor Genevieve, Linus, Oswald, Elfleda, the four family leaders participated and a few more people.

“Roger can not stay in Hippocoon more. He knows the rules but he has broken. It’s not acceptable. He may be a Hippocoon’s future threat.” squealed Professor Linus.

“I agree with Professor Linus though I Don’t think will be our threat. However, he has encouraged the children to buy magic items though he knows that it’s forbidden. It’s really dangerous. I think he deserves to be punished.” said Professor Genevieve in a tough way.

“Whatever, I think it’s not too serious. The children are still fine and Roger himself is the one who has brought them back healthy.” Professor Roger spoke up, “I think he has had a lesson for himself. Give him a chance.”

“There will be no chance at all Oswald. We don’t accept any one who doesn’t belong to any family staying here though he is one of the few people recognized by the Impiety forest.” An old voice came out. It belonged to a person who sat near the other end of the table opposite to Professor Finn. He wore in dark cloak. Under the hood, it was an old face. The light from candles inside the room could not illuminate his entire face but it also couldn’t cover all deep wrinkles on it.

“It is an old fashioned thought. Hippocoon not only belong to the four families.” groaned Professor Oswald.

“You have become arrogant already Oswald. When I was your age, you were only a child. Please respect your elders.” said the one again.

“It’s not arrogance. It is a quality to become a family leader.” another old voice came out. It belonged to another elder who sat opposite the one.

“Of course, you always defend his opinion because he is your family leader.” the one raised his tone. His voice became thin and cold.

“It’s not either.” said the other elder. Then an argument broke out. Others started participated with them. Professor Finn was still quiet at the end of the table. His hands were against his chin. His eyes looked straight and he seemed to be thinking. The argument was still going on. Some people want Roger to leave Hippocoon and some want him to stay. “Very thank for all of you.” the voice of Professor Finn coming out. The noise stopped. All people turned to him. “I think I need some more time to decide.” He added. His mouth moved behind his long white beard. Professor Finn stopped up. He turned and planned to leave.

“Professor Finn,” Professor Genevieve called up.

“The decision will be made tomorrow.” said Professor Finn. His long cloak swept on ground. He left. People watched him until he passed the door and stepped away.

“We should go too.” said Professor Oswald, turned to the elder who supported him. The elder nodded then they both stepped away.

“What should we do now, Professor Genevieve.” said Professor Linus, stepped forward then stopped right by her. Professor Genevieve kept silent in seconds. She turned, looked on him by stern eyes. “I think Professor Finn will make the right decision.” she said. Then she also left the room. Her heels slammed on the marble floor sounding up. “Professor Elfleda,” said Professor Linus, turned aside. “I will be on the neutral side.” said Professor Elfleda then she followed Professor Genevieve leaving the room. Professor stayed still watching on them. There was only him and his supporters.

“We have to get him out Hipponcoon. He is accept by the Impiety forest. He is our threat.” said an elder.

“Don’t worry. You will not see he appear in next day. Tonight, I will go and meet Professor Finn.” said Professor Linus. He looked far away through the door. “We wait for it. Don’t let us down.” said an elders. Then each of them stepped out from the room leaving him alone there. His edged of mouth twisted. He smirked in seconds then also left. The door was closed. The room turned dark and quiet after that.
