Chapter 14: The family torch (part 4)

“I will happen at weekend Heracles. We will the people who light up our family torch. We did win the ten days of natural survival and bring to our family many of points that’s why our family get the most points and so become the family lightning the torch this year.” said Gwen excited. “It must be the last active in this year right?” said Heracles. “Yes, it’s. We will leave Hippocoon land turning back our home after that.” said Gwen. “Oh god, it’s too fast. We have stay here for eight months. I really miss my home.” said Heracles. “It’s not much time. By this time on next Tuesday we have been in our homes.” said Gwen. “Heracles – Gwen.” squealed Amelinda, rushed into them from their class door. She just came. “It makes me a little exited as I think about home. Do you plan to do anything as we come home?” she added. “Just relax enjoying our free time.” said Gwen shortly. “And you Heracles?” said Amelinda, turned to him. “I still don’t about it.” said Heracles. “If you want you can’t r

“As usual – three – two for them.” said Leonard, turned to Heracles and Gwen.  “Wait a moment,” said the senior. He took out three cups then poured something red inside the cups then gave each of them one cup. “Enjoy it guys.” he said, smiling. “This is a kind of grape juice. You will like it.” said Leonard, raised his cup, hinted Heracles and Gwen to drink then took a gulp. Heracles, Gwen raised their cups and then also a gulp. It gave Heracles strange feeling as he drank the juice, making his mouth and throat be burnt. Heracles felt really hot after that. “Are sure that it’s grape juice.” said Heracles suspiciously. “Yes, it’s.” said Leonard surely, smiling.  Heracles and Gwen turned each other. They both got the same feeling about the drink. Honestly, they didn’t like it but they still kept the cups on their hands. “If you want more, made their way to them. They will give you.” said Leonard, hinted them to the seniors after the barrels. Later, Leonard strode off to gather with his

“When will we be allowed to leave this place, Miss Gloria?” asked Heracles.  “At the end of this week.” said Miss Gloria staring at Heracles, “You must feel lucky because we can save your arms. Your arm bones were broken in pieces one you were brought to here. We have to use few spells to arrange them in the right places and now they need time for self-healing. You will not able to use your hand till this weekend.” “Keep staying here till the time.” she asked then strode out, leaving Heracles and Gwen alone there. The room turned much silent after that.  “How could the hooded girl vanish? We saw her go in it, right?” said Gwen. “Yes, we saw.” said Heracles, “But, we also couldn’t know what happened in the time we fainted. We even didn’t know why the Nemean lion died instead.” said Heracles. “Could it happen that when we fainted, the half god-blood appeared, killed the Nemean lion and then brought the hood girl away?” said Gwen, staring at Heracles.  “It also could happen.” said Herac

Heracles didn’t know how much time he had fainted but as he woke up he had been in health room, lying on a bed. His two hands were bandaged completely. He turned to left and saw Gwen who also lying in there on the bed next to him, sleeping. His one leg was bandaged and hung up. “Gwen.” Heracles called. Gwen woke up. “Heracles--” he said, rubbing his eyes. “How do you feel now?” he added. “I’m fine.” said Heracles, “But, how could we come back to castle Methonia?”  “Amelinda and Roger has come and brought us to here. At that time, you are fainted so you didn’t know it.” said Gwen. “Amelinda and Roger,” Heracles raised his voice, “How could they find us? Furthermore, how could they escape from the Nemean lion to bring us to here?”  “I don’t know. I had fainted before I could know what had happened.” said Gwen, “We have to wait and ask Amelinda as she comes here, after the class. Miss Gloria told me that she always come in the days we are here.”  “I will wait for her.” said Heracles. He t

“Polles bales pyrkagias--” cried Heracles, pointing his scepter at the Nemean lion. As soon as he spelled, a lot of fire balls shot out from Heracles scepter flying to the Nemean lion and covering its vision. Immediately, he caught the chance to store his scepter in his space ring and take out his bow. He grabbed few arrows and shot to the Nemean lion which at the time was covering by fire. Heracles kept shooting to it till all his arrows were over. Later, when the fire vanished, the Nemean lion appeared. However, the Nemean lion still stood firmly on its feet, having no harm. Heracles’s fire balls didn’t burn its fur little while his arrows at the moment all dropped on ground, broken.  “You will not hurt me with the stuff.” said the Nemean lion, slowly moving toward Heracles. Heracles kept distance, stepping backward. Then, suddenly the Nemean lion leapt up and reached on Heracles right after that. It pushed him down on ground, kept staying upon his body and tried to kill him by the

“So do what now?” said Gwen turned to Heracles who still kept his eyes looking inside the cave. “Come in and take a look.” said Heracles then walked ahead. They still saw something at the beginning of the cave because of dim light there. However, the more they walked in, the more the cave turned dark. At last, the couldn’t see anything more. “Nob--” Heracles called. “Wind Riding--” called Gwen right after. Their scepters appeared on their hands at one. “Anavei--” they spelled together. Their scepters lit up at one. They spread out dim lights around them. Heracles and Gwen kept going deeply for a while but they didn’t see the hooded girl anywhere.  “Where in this cave is she? Why does she walk in this dark cave?” lamented Gwen.  “Stop—Gwen.” said Heracles suddenly, holding him back. “What happened –Heracles?” squealed Gwen. “Shhh!” Heracles put his finger on his mouth, hinting Gwen not to say too loud. “I just saw something move.” he added.  Gwen stopped speaking, turned looking ahead

Heracles and Gwen still kept going to front of castle Methonia to look to Roger’s house. Each few days they came there one but it didn’t help them to get anything. Roger’s house was still there, shutting the door silent. One day as usual they came there. “Heracles! Look!” spoke Gwen, shaking Heracles’s hand then hinted him to look at to a shape of person who just left out of the castle. Heracles realized at one that was the hooded girl who they had been searching for so long. The hooded girl hurriedly strode off, not seeing anything after she left the castle. Immediately at the moment Heracles and Gwen saw her, they followed. Heracles and Gwen carefully kept distance from her. When she reached to the castle’s shield, the hooded girl stopped. She turned back and took a look. When she was sure no one was following her, she turned back then put her hand touching the castle shield. It made Heracles and Gwen very surprised. The castle's shield slowly melted around her hand then a big ho

The next days, all things still happed as usual. Heracles and others went to class in morning and returned the dorm for lunch and then spent time in their rooms after that. Sometime, Heracles and Gwen also made their way to get out of their dorm, wandering around in front of castle Methonia. They found the way to look through the castle’s shield heading to Roger’s house. However, they only saw the shape of Roger’s wooden house which looked very tiny from the place Heracles and Gwen were. It stood lonely and quietly at the edge of the forest.  Sometimes, they caught Professor Finn mounting on his griffin, left the castle heading to the forest and turned back in the same day, maybe at the late afternoon or also maybe in night. Their family leader, Professor Oswald and other family leaders also left the castle to go to the forest in the period of time. Of course, they all didn’t mount on anything like a griffin, just walking to there and used to turn back before the dinner. “We should fin

Chapter 12: The oracle (part 4)

“There had no clue to find out it Heracles. It’s too vague.” said Amelinda.   “Yes, I know.” said Heracles. They made their way to come and hid themselves in a corner on their way and kept staying in there waiting to turn visible completely then they walked out and came to the dorm after that. Fortunately, they didn’t meet anyone. When they came to their dorm, it’s very early for the dinner. Therefore, they decided to find somewhere to go. It’s difficult to them because all of them didn’t like to come to their room at moment. At last, the made their way to family library which seemed to be a quiet and private place for them.   “Do you know why Professor Oswald knew that we were there, Amelinda?” said Heracles when they were sitting in their family library. He began to think about what he had gone through. “I’m not sure. He might feel your energies or use some ways other.” said Amelinda.   “Our energies, what are they? How can he feel it?” said Heracles. “It is a skill that one can sens

Chapter 12: The oracle (part 3)

“Did Professor Oswald tell you when the ceremony is held?” squealed Amelinda. She, Heracles and Gwen were sitting in class. They had a history lesson that day. Professor Herodo still didn’t come. It’s early that moment. Therefore, people grouped and conversed. “Yes, he did. I told us that it will be held at noon when the sun is strongest. He told it’s the best time to connect with the gods.” said Heracles. “So we have to go right after this lesson.” said Amelinda. “Yes, we have to go right at the time, not having time to have lunch.” said Heracles.  The footstep was coming. Professor Herodo appeared, walking in the class. He came and stood a little waiting for people to turn back their seats. The noise turned lowered then vanished. “It’s very long time before the ten days of natural survival started.” said Professor Herodo, “I asked you write an essay about the five ages of man and requested you all to write at least three thousand words and you all did it well, writing enough the word

Chapter 12: The oracle (part 2)

“It’s not bad choice, the idea of Professor Keisha.” the voice of Professor Genevieve came out. Heracles and Gwen turned to her and listen. “We can do ceremony at one and beg for a guidance.” added Professor Genevieve. “I agree to do ceremony. It’s the best choice at this moment. It’s better than going in forest and facing with the thing we don’t know a little about it. At least, we can find some guidance before facing to it. It’s also not bad.” said Professor Linus, looking one round around others there. “Any suggestion.” said Professor Finn after turned thoughtful for minutes. “As like Professor Linus and Genevieve, it’s a good choice for us now. Honestly,” he lowered his voice, “I am really confused having no clue to find the red-armband members and intruder.” Professor Finn stopped. He looked toward the others waiting for their suggestions. Professor Oswald didn’t object. The others also agreed with the idea.  “Alright, we will do a ceremony.” spoke Professor Finn, “Professor Keish

Chapter 12: The oracle (part 1)

Professor Finn kept staying castle Methonia in the next days. Sometime, he also went out for a while but later, he turned back and kept staying whole the remaining time of the days. Whenever he got out, he used to mount on his griffin and then they flew away. His griffin always stopped right in front of the shield as it reached on it then Professor raised his scepter, pointed his scepter on the light shield. The shield was melted away creating a hole enough for Professor Finn and his griffin to go through. As soon as they got out, the light shield itself automatically filled the hole. It returns to its original state after that to protect people safety inside. When Professor Finn came back, it also happened like that. He created a hole on the light shield and then got in.  Other professors also could get through of the light shield. There had secret spell that only professors knew. Whereas, the students were not allowed to know, they were kept inside the shield. However, it didn’t affe

Chapter 11: The invisible powder (part 4)

Heracles and the others came back their dorm before the dinner. Heracles and Gwen walked toward the male restroom, went in two separate stalls. They shut the doors closed.  “It’s so great Heracles. We can go to everywhere we want but not to be found out of others. And what we need is a little this invisible powder. It’s really magical powder.” the excited voice of Gwen came out from the room. “Yes, you are right. This’s a great powder but it’s also too dangerous if it fall into bad guys. I don’t dare to think about what they can do after that.” said Heracles, “I think we should talk Amelinda to keep the invisible powder in secret.” “You’re right.” said Gwen.  The doors opened widely. The white smoke poured out from the room. Heracles and Gwen burst out from the smoke. They gathered and quickly walked out the restroom. As soon as they strode off, another door inside the restroom slid open. A person walked out from the toilet room. The stood still there, looked toward the exit where He
