Chapter 5: Where on the world we are? (part 7)

The night covered upon whole the place. Three lights emerged out from the forest. Amelinda then Heracles and Gwen walked toward the trunk laid in front of their tent and sat down as they reached on it. Some firewood was still there. They stacked a pile of firewood and the fired it. Heracles, Gwen and Amelinda kept staying by the fire, took out some bread and milk to eat. It was very simple because they had no time to prepare. Quickly they finished their dinner and stayed still by the fire talking until it turned much dewy and cold they made their way turn in the tent. The fire outside lived a short time then turned off. There were three shadows of Heracles, Gwen and Amelinda laid on the tent; they still didn’t sleep, were sitting conversing. Amelinda’s scepter was still stood at the corner of the tent lighting whole the place. “It’s the second days we are here. I guess people found out we are not in home. They must worry about us much.” said Gwen. “They will turned much more worried if

A whistle spread out. The slid was pushed up then slipped aside. Steam came out from the cauldron. The things inside was boiled. Amelinda immediately stood up, moved toward the fire “It’s boiled. What should I do now?” squealed Amelinda, looking to Gwen. Gwen raised his head “Stir it well. I’m coming.” he said loudly then bent down to slice the remaining herbs. Amelinda turned to the cauldron, looked at the slid which was moving up and down because of steam. Loudly whistle still emitted with a lot of hot steam.  “Do you know how to stop the thing?” said Amelinda, pitifully turned to Heracles. “Let it to me.” said Heracles. He hurriedly took firewood from the fire. It made the fire turned gentler at one. The whistle stopped and there also didn’t have to much steam coming emitted out. Then Heracles grabbed on the lid, pulled it up. A cloud of white steam flew up when the lid was taken off. Laid it on ground, he grabbed on the big wooden spoon and started stirring.  “Okay, let it for me.”

“Not too long Gwen.” said Heracles, “Just enough to decide to explore the forest.” “Oh, let’s go. I also want to explore that place.” said Gwen immediately. Then Heracles and Amelinda stood up. They made their way head to forest. Heracles and Gwen did go in the forest but it is the first time Amelinda went. The first thing she got that the forest was an ancient forest and completely wild. Trees were really big and looked really very old their trunks were covered black shaggy bark or green mosses while boughs which were as big as normal trunks. They were grabbed vines which were as big as a person's calf. Sometime she even saw vines which were as big as a human body. The forest was really humid. It made the temperature inside dropped. Amelinda could feel cool air swept on her skin whenever she stepped. Sometime, it made her creepy when winds blew passing her. Sunlight was very weak in there it had to break the foliage upon their heads. Under their feet the ground was covered by rott

Do you bring canvas?” said Heracles, turned to Amelinda.  “Yes, I do.” she said. She hurriedly walked toward her bag untied a rolled of canvas there. She unrolled it on ground then grabbed its one corner. “Help me a hand.” said Amelinda. Heracles and Gwen came, grabbed on other corners. They pulled it over the frame and then nailed carefully on ground.  It had been afternoon when all the things done. Heracles and Gwen made their way bring a trunk, place in front of the tent then they all sat down resting.  “Do any of you fell hungry? I feel both hungry and tired.” said Gwen.  “Amelinda – please give me my bag. I did put something there.” he added. Amelinda turned back, reached out and grabbed on the nearest bag. She pulled it back herself then handed it to Gwen. Gwen received the bag. He put it on his thighs then opened.  “Heracles – Amelinda.” said Gwen, gave each of them some bread, untied the water-skin on one side of his bag. “Do want to drink milk? I have a little here.” he added.

“What do you mean?” said Gwen at one while Heracles chose not to speak. He kept silent, carefully observed. “You mean that the symbols are a sorted by rank, right?” said Heracles, raised his voice at the end. He kept looking on Amelinda. “Yes – It’s what I want to say. You can see – the thunderbolt, the most powerful symbol belonging to god Zeus is placed at the center while the trident, the symbol of god Poseidon and the Cap of Invisibility, the symbol of god Hades have to stand around it. Then eagle, owl, vulture, bull and Cerberus were next to them. The farther away from the center the less famous symbols.” said Amelinda gently. “And,” she stopped, looked toward a standing stone. “There on the standing stones also have symbols of the twelve Olympians.” she said slowly. “Really?” said Gwen, gave her a suspicious looking. “You can see them.” said Amelinda. Her eyes took on standing stones.  Gwen stood still looking to Amelinda for a while then made his way to one of standing

“Heracles – help me.” screamed Gwen. They seemed to be inside a tunnel of light and were falling very fast. Lightning sometimes flashed in the opposite. Even so, Heracles couldn’t see much of what was in front of him. Everything except Gwen in front of him was covered with a thick layer of fog. The things he could felt clearly at moment were winds which blew strongly against his face and Earth’s traction on his body. He tried effort to open his eyes, kept watching on Gwen below. Gwen was facing to Heracles; his back turned to ground. Waving hands violently he called: “Help me, Heracles.”  “Give me your hand.” Heracles screamed, stretched toward Gwen. Their hands reached on the others. Heracles grabbed on Gwen’s hand then pulled Gwen back to him. He hugged then helped Gwen turn to the same direction with him. “Where is Amelinda?” creamed Gwen. He had to do that because strong winds blowing pass their ears made them difficult to hear. “I don’t know. We must find her. Hope she is ahead.”

“Heracles – what do you plan to bring with you?” said Gwen. He was managed to put some sets of clothes into his baggage. “As like you Gwen -- I bring some clothes in case we have to stay in the place in long time.” said Heracles, tried to push his clothes inside a bag which turned had been bulging at the moment. “Of course, I can’t forget my scepter, my bow and other personal items.” he added. “It is a good preparation Heracles.” said Gwen happily. “Our trip will turn easier if we have good preparations.” said Gwen. “Of course, I know it Gwen. That is why I brought them.” said Heracles staring at his heavy luggage. “Hope Amelinda is also us having good preparation.” said Gwen. He stopped a while. “Wonder what she wrote in the letter.” he added. “You don’t need to worry about Amelinda. She always know what she should do.” said Heracles surely.  “You’re right. I shouldn’t doubt her wisdom.” said Gwen. “Yeah, you shouldn’t.” added Heracles, tied his bag carefully. He brought it, leapt out

“Alright! They are all magical stones for a shifting-circle.” said Amelinda, “What we need are putting them in right places and in order.” “Bring them to our shifting-circle with me.” Amelinda said. She hugged some of magical stone, stood up, moved toward their shifting-circle. Heracles and Gwen took the remaining magical stones following her.  “Heracles the biggest magical stone is in your arms, right? I need you to put it at the center of our shifting – circle.” said Amelinda. “Yes, it is here. Where should I put it?” asked Heracles. “At the center where lines intersect there I created a hole, put in it.” said Amelinda. “Okay, I do it right now.” said Heracles. He hurriedly moved toward the circle’s center and then put the biggest magical stone in the hole then turned back. “What do we do next?” he asked. “Put the others into other holes.” said Amelinda, “Do you see other holes here? We will put other magical stones in them.” “Golden, green, blue, red, brown and black,” spoke Amelind

Chapter 4: What Dean’s pub really is (part 5)

“Let’s go. We are late for breakfast.” the voice of Heracles spoke out.  “Wait me a moment, Heracles. I’m nearly done.” Gwen repled him. Then some noises spread out from the room. Later, Heracles and Gwen appeared in front of the room and hurriedly walked down the ground floor. Passing the living room they got in the kitchen. Amelinda and the others had been there, waiting for them. Pulling out chairs, they sat down with others. “Thank you.” said Heracles, received a serving from Lena. “Your meal” said Lena handed the other plate on her hand to Gwen. “Thank you very much.” said Gwen. “No problem boy.” said Lena then sat on her chair. She was the last person sat down. The breakfast finished after few minutes. Amelinda, Heracles and Gwen helped Lena to clean up then quickly left. Later, they all appeared in the back of the house. It is really nice lawn there; short grasses covered completely the ground. Standing scattered around were some large trees which next to them were simple wood b

“Master!” it said, bowed his head. “Open it. We want to go out.” said Dean. “Yes, master.” it replied. It gabbed on a big metal ring attached on the stone door then started pulled it in. Creak sounds came out the place under their feet trembled again. The heavy stone door was pulled open ajar then completely opened. The bullhead creature released the ring, stood aside. Dean put the torch back to its place on the wall then strode out. Heracles and Gwen slowed behind to take another look on the bullhead creature then quickly walked out. The stone door slowly closed after all of them left. They hurriedly passed the kitchen and then got into the pub. Dean turned back his workplace behind the long table  “Do you want anything to drink? It’s free.” he suggested.  “Thank for your kindness but it’s late. We must go home now.” said Amelinda quickly. “It takes us much time to get the things. We have to go, will turn back in someday.” said Heracles. “See you late.” said Gwen smiled.  They all tur
