According to what were written in the book, the Shadow -shifter moved people to a tunnel under ground by the way swallowed them that honestly threatened all people there, They turned sacred then screamed, yelled and even cried. Avery was a person who did cried when half of his lower body was swallowed that was also the reason he was ridiculed by Hank after he came to Hippocoon land. And also because of it Heracles spoke out to protect and became his friend after that.
After people was swallowed they would fall into a spiral narrow tubes, sliding down for a while then fell out from a hole appeared in the wall of an tunnel where they met the ground dragon Grogon and their guider who brought them to Hippocoon land after that.
Both the dragon Grogon and the Shadow -shifter came from the underworld and exactly Tartarus. They were creatures not allowed to leave the place but because they accepted to served, bring the chosen people to Hippocoon land so they was allowed to leave the place. However, it didn't mean they were allowed to appear in fron of normal people, having to keep staying underground avoiding normal's eyes.
Though people rarely saw it but the Shadow -shifter could smile. Heracles, Gwen and Amelinda saw it smiled at the first time they met. There had only thing they can for sure that whether it could speak or not. The Shadow -shifter was always in silent.
People believed that the Shadow -shifter was gentle creature because they had never seen it harmed anyone But ... is it true?
