The first time Heracles, Gwen and Amlinda met the shadow - shifter

They kept running toward the statue of goddess Athena.
“What are you doing?” cried Amelinda, struggling to escape from Gwen’s hand, “We will hit on it.”
“It’s okay Amelinda.” Gwen calmed her, “A door is there.”
“Ahhh!” cried Amelinda, closed her eyes.
“You can open your eyes now.” said Heracles.
“Where are we?” squealed Amelinda.
“I don’t know.” said Heracles.
It’s a long roof which was supported by marble columns above their heads. Some children were also staying there under the roof. They gathered into groups stood at other places in the roof talking.
“So what do we do now?” asked Amelinda.
“Wait.” answered Gwen, “The carrier will come and bring us go.”
“Who is the carrier?” said Heracles.
“I don’t know. Others told me that.” said Gwen.
“What’s that?” said Heracles. He pointed at a round shadow which was on ground toward others.
“Look! Are they its eyes?” cried Amelinda, hinted to a pair of white narrow shapes.
“And it’s its mouth.” said Heracles, “What’s it doing? Why does it approach to others?”
The black silently moved under a group of people. The people suddenly fell down as though they fell into a pit. They cried loudly and threatened people around. Others scattered, cried and ran away from the place but the black shadow didn’t leave them alone. It chased after them.
“Ahhh.” cried a chubby boy. He was caught by the shadow. His lower half body had fallen. His half upper half body was still upon the ground. Tears poured from his eyes wetted all his face. “Please helped me.” he cried handed ahead. However, no one dared to come near and helped him. His body was slowly swallowed then vanished. Everybody turned much nosy they cried ran, scattered then gathered. The place turned chaotic at the time.
“What are we do now?” said Amelinda anxiously.
“I don’t know.” replied Heracles still staring at the black shadow.
“Stay away from it as far as possible.” said Gwen.
“Runnn…” cried Heracles, pulled Gwen and Amelinda with him. The black shadow started to pay attention on them. It chased after them.
“Heracles, help me” cried Amelinda. She was left behind them. Heracles turned back and she her lower half body had been fallen down and the black shadow was under her. Heracles hurriedly ran back. He held her hand tried to pull her up. Gwen also ran back right after that, held the other hand of Amelinda and pulled. Suddenly, the black shadow trembled and then enlarged. Heracles and Gwen fell down at one. Heracles was separated from his friends. He seemed to be fallen into a dark spiral pipe and slipped fastly inside it. It made him feel dizzy. Minutes later, Heracles saw light at the end of the pipe. He slipped out and rolled few rounds with his baggage before he could get on ground. Amelinda and Gwen were after him. They slipped out from other pipes appearing on the wall which changed into round black shadows, shrank then vanished.
“Are you okay?” Heracles hurriedly went to Amelinda, helped her stand up.
“I’m fine.” she said, “Where are we now?”
“I don’t know. It may be a secret tunnel.” said Heracles.
“Everyone all are brought to here.” said Gwen. He had gotten on his feet, joined with Heracles and Amelinda.

Though his body was big and stout, he moved very fast coming to them and froze as he saw a dead on ground. “Who are they?” he asked softly, looking on Amelinda. “This is Lily and - Aunt Calliope.” Amelinda said hesitantly; “She is Lily’s mother. She saved all of us.” she added sadly.  Between curly hair and bushy beard which almost covered his face were warm eyes. She warmly looked on Lily who was sitting on ground holding her mother’s hand. He decided to keep silent, turned to Heracles, Gwen, Amelinda then turned to the dead Hydra dragon which was not far away from them.  “I dont know how you could kill the dragon but there has one thing we have to do before we leave this place.” said Roger calmly, “Go with me Amelinda.
