Chapter 5: Where on the world we are? (part 11)

“But, how Heracles?” asked Amelinda, staring at her friend.
Heracles turned in silence he really doesn’t know how to know where the walkway leading to. Amelinda took her eyes from him. “There had one thing I know surely that some people are living in the other side of this forest.” said Amelinda, breaking the silence. “What we need is to go straight, we will come to the other side.” When she was talking, she looked at Gwen and then Heracles observing them.
Both Heracles and Gwen didn’t talk in seconds. Amelinda still watched on them.
“Okay,” Gwen spoke up, “will follow your words. We will go in tomorrow morning.”
Heracles also agreed with them.
Dew appeared some drops of water dropped on their shoulders. It was very cold outside. The decided to go in their tent and rested. Another night was going to pass another night they were kept to stay in a strange place.

Meanwhile, in a place far away Heracles and the others, everything seemed very chaotic. Hurried footsteps, the calls filled full whole the place.
“Do you see them?” said a woman in very anxious voice.
“No, I don’t.” said man in heavy voice.
“Does mistress know it?” said another woman calmly.
“No, she doesn’t. I don’t dare to let her know.” said the first woman.
“You had better do it.” said the second woman, still in her calm voice. “I will go to take a look.” she asked then made her way walk in a room. She was no one but July, Amelinda’s mother and the others were Lena and the Old Gardener. July just came back from after days going out and the first thing she realized that Heracles and Amelinda were not at home. Therefore, she asked Lena and the Old Gardener to find them. The Old Gardener lived separately in a hut inside their garden. He rarely stepped in their building. Therefore, he really didn’t know what happened inside the building. It meant he didn’t know Heracles and Amelinda were absent. On other hand, Lena often stayed inside but she believed that Heracles and Amelinda had followed Gwen to his house so she didn’t pay much attention on their absence. The thing only was discovered as July came back. She knew that Heracles, Amelinda and including Gwen was not in his mansion. Immediately, she asked Lena and the Old Gardener to find them. Of course, they couldn’t find them. Lena was the person who turned in deep anxious after that. She had rushed in and kept staying in Heracles’s room looking at the empty room for many minutes. She seemed to lose her control in the time. “Where are they? Where did they go?” she muttered constantly. Her hands automatically grabbed on her apron. Later, she turned back and met the Old Gardener and July in front of the door. Then they all went forward July’s daughter’s room. Pushed the door open she walked few steps in. Raised the lamp on her hand up she observed whole the room, July’s eyes stopped at Amelinda’s table. It seemed to have something on there. A parchment she realized it. She hurriedly moved forward the table. After her back Lena and the Old Garden behind also moved. July stopped at the table. She put her lamp on the table, reached on the parchment then picked it up. She unrolled. There was Amelinda’s letter July realized her daughter’s handwriting. Scanning her eyes on the parchment she read.
“Dear Mistress, Mother, Lena and the Old Garden
I have to apologize to you because I, Heracles and Gwen left in hurry not to talk to you. However, we have to because it’s a summons from Hippocoon land. One of our professors suddenly appeared and asked to go with him. Though it’s out of my expectation, I think that’s only a surprised outdoor activity our professor prepared for us. We don’t have time to meet you and say goodbye so I write this letter to let you know.
Anyway, don’t worry we only come to Hippocoon land and all of us are in safe. We will come back soon.”
July stopped that was all the words in the parchment Amelinda left. Amelinda was very clever to think of an idea about an outdoor activity. She even wrote a short letter with squiggly handwriting. It looked like as she was in a hurry. And of course, it easily made people believe. July’s face immediately relaxed she turned back, gave Lena the parchment.
“Don’t worry. They are okay.” she said.
Lena received the parchment then carefully read it. After minutes, she turned happy with a smile on her face. “You are right. They are in safe they only go to Hippocoon land.” she squealed happily. “I really turned in anxious as I didn’t find them but now I don’t need to worry about them.” she added, still in happy voice.
“Come on Lena.” said July, “Don’t be noisy it is night and our mistress is sleeping. Don’t make her wake up. We should turn back our rooms and sleep.”
“Ouch!” Lena put on hand on his mouth, “I’m sorry. I forget it.” she said.
“We go.” said July, hinted them to leave the room. Then each of them made the way leave the room. July took her lamp up. She was the last person leaving the room. Amelinda got again its silence after that.

Chapter 11: The gate (part 9)

A loud bag spread out above their heads. Two hooded cloak men lied quietly on ground. Roger walked to the gallery. “Heracles, Gwen and Amelinda, you all are here. It is hard to find you” he called up. He hurriedly made the way step down the stairs. Though his body was big and stout, he moved very fast coming to them and froze as he saw a dead on ground. “Who are they?” he asked softly, looking on Amelinda. “This is Lily and - Aunt Calliope.” Amelinda said hesitantly; “She is Lily’s mother. She saved all of us.” she added sadly.  Between curly hair and bushy beard which almost covered his face were warm eyes. She warmly looked on Lily who was sitting on ground holding her mother’s hand. He decided to keep silent, turned to Heracles, Gwen, Amelinda then turned to the dead Hydra dragon which was not far away from them.  “I dont know how you could kill the dragon but there has one thing we have to do before we leave this place.” said Roger calmly, “Go with me Amelinda.
