Chapter 3: The owl of wisdom (part 5)

Heracles left his bed, changed in his class uniform. He and Gwen hurried went to their family library to find Amelinda. Heracles told them about his nightmare and asked them about its meaning but they both couldn’t explain it. At last, they decided to ignore it. Heracles and Gwen stay still there a little then they left, Amelinda still kept staying there reading something. She wanted to know more about Hippocoon by the way reading books there. Their dorm turned deserted at the moment; almost of people were busy with their classes or walked out for something. Heracles and Gwen went in the family room, they meet some people there and said hello to them. One of them was Leonard their family president. Leonard kept them there minutes, introduced them to others and let them know about Zeusia family traditions. He enthusiastically led them to the long board hanging there, in which all rules they had to obey as they stayed in Hippocoon. Another board also was hung there in family room on which all family bulletins and schedules automatically appeared. Heracles and Gwen kept staying front of the bulletin board few minutes. There had some white letters was on it, “The first year don’t need to go to class today, tomorrow morning first year Zeusias have lyre lesson in Castle Methonia”. The letters stayed on the board for a minute then disbanded. Right after that few red letters appeared on it: “Some of the first year tried to break Hippocoon’s rules to fight against others. They were caught and sanctioned. We took twenty points from family of the person who started first while others were ten points. We the red-armband team remind you don’t break any of rules”.
“Who can break school rules on the first day at Hippocoon Gwen?” said Heracles.
“It can be anyone.” replied Gwen, “We should go out and take a look.”
Then Heracles and Gwen made their way out of their dorm, find the way to Castle Methonia. They met Avery there outside the castle, sitting on a stone bench under a tree. Avery was depressed and looked like as though he just got out from a fight. There had few scratches and bruises on his face. “Oh Avery, what are you doing here?” said Heracles. He and Gwen hurriedly sat by Avery.
“What’s wrong with your face?” added Gwen.
“I just fought.” said Avery sorrowfully.
“What?” cried Gwen, “Who do you fight?”
“Hank” muttered Avery. His face bent down, still looking at ground.
“Why did you fight him?” asked Heracles.
“He provoked me. He did call me a coward. He and his friends did tease me.” said Avery, “I told them to let me alone and I was not a coward but they didn’t. They kept follow me and joked on me.” Avery clenched his fist tightly.
“Where is he now?” asked Heracles quickly, “I will teach him lesson.”
“I don’t know. He’s somewhere inside.” said Avery.
“Go and find him with me.” said Heracles.
“No Heracles,” cried Avery painfully, “I don’t want to make the thing more loudly. You should know that red-armband members can appear anytime and will take points from your family. I just lost twenty points from my family.”
“Don’t worry.  I will not let them have chance to see me.” said Heracles, “Go Gwen.”
Heracles and Gwen stood up then made their way to walked in castle Methonia. Avery reluctantly ran after them. They went cross the hall where they gathered, met the owl of wisdom and had a great meal last night, found the stepped on a staircase and went up. The castle Methonia was wide place having a lot of lobbies and stairs which led to unexpected places. It took them much time to wander inside and find out where they were. Heracles and Gwen had to ask people till they found Hank in an empty room. He was staying with some of his friends. Heracles immediately pulled Avery rushed to them.
“You did provoke him right?” asked Heracles staring at Hank.
“Oh Heracles, why do you made friend him?” said Hank, “I think you deserve to have greater friends. If you want, we are always willing to invite you to join with us, right?” Hank raised his voice, turned to his friend then turned back to Heracles.
“Answer him. He asked you.” barked Gwen impatiently.
“Honestly, I didn’t but I only said the truth. He was a coward, weak and useless.” said Hank. He glared at Avery.
“I am not.” cried Avery stepped ahead with clenched fists.
“God! Avery,” cried Hank, “What do you want to do with your fists. You plan to beat me. I think you will never dare to do it. You are yellow.” Hank turned to his friends then they all laughed.
“Stop it Hank.” shouted Heracles, “I don’t want you to provoke him more. If you dare to do it again, I will…”
“What will you do Heracles?” Hank interrupted him. He looked at Heracles’s eyes, “Beat me?” Hank raised his voice.
“Yes, I may.” said Heracles.
Suddenly Hank laughed. He turned to his friends then all of them laughed. “He says he will beat me.” cried Hank, approached Heracles and said loudly at her face “He will beat me.”
It made Heracles’s face turned red. He clenched his fists and then pushed Hank away. Immediately, Hank’s friend stepped ahead facing to Heracles. Gwen hurriedly moved on standing beside his friend. They looked at others by fire eyes.
“What are you doing here?” a cold voice spread out after their backs, “If you want to make some trouble, some red-armband members are outside.”
Fists were relaxed. They scattered. Heracles took his eyes off Hank. He turned back and realized Iphicles and his big friends had been there in the room.
“Iphicles, why you’re here?” exclaimed Heracles.
“Why can’t I be here? If I wasn’t here, you would have done stupid things.” said Iphicles. He approached “Don’t make any trouble here Heracles. I think our mother don’t hope you to do it.”
Heracles looked at Iphicles in seconds. He didn’t speak any words. Later, he took his eyes off from him then he, Gwen and Avery silently made the way leave the place. Though Heracles felt unhappy, he had to leave. He didn’t want Iphicles to see him in any trouble. They scattered on the way. Avery found the way to get back his family’s building, Heracles and Gwen also turned to theirs.
