Chapter 4: What Dean’s pub really is (part 6)

“Alright! They are all magical stones for a shifting-circle.” said Amelinda, “What we need are putting them in right places and in order.”
“Bring them to our shifting-circle with me.” Amelinda said. She hugged some of magical stone, stood up, moved toward their shifting-circle. Heracles and Gwen took the remaining magical stones following her.
“Heracles the biggest magical stone is in your arms, right? I need you to put it at the center of our shifting – circle.” said Amelinda.
“Yes, it is here. Where should I put it?” asked Heracles.
“At the center where lines intersect there I created a hole, put in it.” said Amelinda.
“Okay, I do it right now.” said Heracles. He hurriedly moved toward the circle’s center and then put the biggest magical stone in the hole then turned back.
“What do we do next?” he asked.
“Put the others into other holes.” said Amelinda, “Do you see other holes here? We will put other magical stones in them.”
“Golden, green, blue, red, brown and black,” spoke Amelinda, looked back the shifting-circles book, “that’s the order we place them. It must start” she stopped, bringing the diary on hand moving around the circle. Kept the book on hand, she walked forward and backward few times. She sometime raised her head to see the sun then continued walking. On other hand, Heracles and Gwen didn’t move they kept silent observing her. At last, Amelinda stopped. “From here.” he said, “We will start from here and in a clockwise direction.”
“You’re sure that you’re from here.” said Gwen hesitantly.
“Yes, I’m sure. The main East is here.” said Amelinda certainly.
“Okay, we will follow you.” said Heracles, “You said Golden, green, blue and what?” he stopped turned to Amelinda.
“Golden, green, blue, red, brown and at last, black.” Amelinda answered.
“Yeah, it’s.” said Heracles, “I and Gwen will do it.” He turned to Gwen “Gwen.” he said.
“Okay, I’m here.” said Gwen quickly.
They brought the magical stones, quickly placed then into holes golden, green, blue, red, brown and then black. After all the magical stones were put in their right places, Heracles and Gwen found the way walking back to Amelinda.
“It is completed.” said Amelinda. She, Heracles and Gwen were standing together observing their accomplishment proudly.
“Should we hide it? If we don’t, I think somebody could see.” said Gwen.
“We must.” said Amelinda, “I don’t want to explain to anyone about it. I will hide it under grasses.”
Then Amelinda grabbed her scepter, pointed at ground. “Megalono.” she said.
The grasses next to the shifting-circle grow up strongly and then slowly covered upon it. The shifting-circle completely was hid under grasses. Heracles, Gwen and Amelinda stood there a while looking around to ensure that their shifting-circle was hid.
“We go.” said Amelinda. Three of them left. The long shadow moved together with them. It’s late afternoon that moment. Hurriedly, the sun went down. Light was replaced by darkness.
***
It’s very quiet at midnight. All most people had fallen in sleep and candles had been blown off but somewhere inside the building still spread out light. It’s Amelinda’s bedroom. The room was not large but looked comfortable and cozy. Amelinda’s awake. She was sitting at the table by the window writing something. The light from the candle standing at the middle of the table bounced on her face made her look cuter. Then she stopped, took the eyes out from the paper then looked out through the window. It’s pure black covering upon all the things outside. Amelinda turned back, blew off her candle then made her way to the bed. She slept.
