Chapter 3: Flying class (next 2)

“Flying lesson?” Miss Gloria raised her voice, “When did it become so dangerous?” she asked, frowning.  “No, it didn’t. Maybe, there are some problems with the shoes she took. I will check it again.” said Professor Genevieve thoughtfully. Heracles and Gwen had gone in. On one bed, Amelinda was peaceful sleeping. Miss Gloria might have given her a bit sleeping potion. Amelinda was covered by a thin blanket. One her leg was bandaged. Heracles watched her sleep.  “She looks bad.” whispered Gwen. “I have never seen her so scared.” Heracles spoke up. “Her shoes could not itself go crazy. It seems someone made it. I have to find the person.” he added.  “Are you sure that someone broke the shoes?” asked Gwen. “I’m sure.” said Heracles certainly. “I will do it with you.” said Gwen.  “We should turn back and checked her shoes before it is taken away.” said Heracles. “Right!” exclaimed Gwen, “We have to go back quickly.” “Keep silent boys. My patients need to rest.” the voice of Miss Gloria.  “S

“Didn’t you hear me?” shouted Professor Genevieve. “I’m sorry, professor.” said Avery. He looked down. His face went much red.  “Oh – I don’t ask you apologize.” said Professor Genevieve. Her voice turned softer. Avery raised up. “Kick on ground. I want you to fly up.” she added. “Uhm – how, profressor?” he asked awkwardly. “Don’t worry boy. It’s too easy. You only need to kick on ground lightly then you will fly up.” Professor Fidelma encouraged. A few boos came from the crowd the more he confused. “Oh, it’s not difficult at all.” said Professor Fidelma. She smiled brightly. Avery nodded obediently. He stomped down but it’s too slight. The wings on shoes only shook a bit then stopped. “Try again.” said Professor Fidelma softy. Avery tried again and that time he did better. The wings fluttered and brought him up few foot. He wobbled a bit but at last he got balance and kept staying still in midair. “Well done, boy” yelled Professor Fidelma. Avery staggered and quickly got again balance

Chapter 3: Flying class

Heracles and Gwen met Amelinda again the next morning. It was a pretty nice and cool morning. They all stayed behind Castle Methonia in a lawn. The members of other families were also here. They gathered in small groups talking and waiting for their flight professor.  “What did you go? I had found you in family library but I didn’t see you.” squealed Amelinda. “We came to community library.” said Gwen. “Community library; why did you come there?” Amelinda asked again. “We came to borrow books for this term. Our family library no longer has the books we need.” said Heracles calmly.  “So, you went to the community library yourselves?” asked Amelinda.    “No, we didn’t. Our family librarian, Alethea told us to come there. She said there was the place we could get the book.” said Heracles. “We are sorry because we did tell before we left.” added Gwen. “Nob – I'm just curious where you went.” said Amelinda. “Hey Heracles!” Gwen suddenly spoke up. He shook his shoulder lightly. “Look! Is

“Maybe, there has something he doesn’t want us to see.” said Heracles. “You mean the mirror.” Gwen lowered his voice. “I guess so.” said Heracles. “Whatever, we should leave.” he added. Then they both went straight to the eighth floor. It’s not difficult for them to see the community library. It was located on the left of the corridor only few steps from the staircase. Heracles and Gwen walked in and were really overwhelmed. The community library was very large. It was several times bigger and higher than their family library. Big bookshelves filled with books nearly reaching on the ceiling. Everything there was in big size. Even book, some of them were large, thick and heavy. Heracles and Gwen turned tiny between giant bookshelves. They walked and observed around. There had many people who they had never seen. They sat on chairs or even floor, stood or walked along the bookshelves but all of them had books on their hands and were focusing on reading, not to pay attention on any other.

“We are not only the people.  I think a lot of people like us.” said Heracles. “I wonder whether Amelinda has come there or not.” said Gwen thoughtfully. “She might. I’m not sure.” Heracles answered. “Anyway, where is it?” he asked. “Let me remember. Someone has told about it.” said Gwen, “It seems at the seventh or eighth floor.” He frowned, trying to remind. “Who has told? I don’t remember. We might get some instruction on the way we come to there.” he continued saying alone. “Maybe, we should ask someone.” Heracles spoke up, “Anyway, try it ourselves first. It’s only in somewhere on upper floor.” “Uhm – let try it first.” said Gwen. He and his friend, Heracles had gone in Castle Methonia. They followed the wide staircase stepping up. The staircase led them up, passing long and wide corridor then led up other floor. They stopped at the seventh floor to take a look. Going along the corridor, Heracles and Gwen opened each room to find out whether it’s the community library or not. The
