Chapter 1: The All-For-You shop (part 8)

“I’m done. What do we do next?” said Amelinda.
“The space ring helps you keep the image of your newly created space in mind. Let’s focus on anything you want.” said Amelinda, “It will automatically transfer into your space ring.”
“Wosph! See it,” yelled Amelinda excitedly, “My scepter just vanished. Is it transferred into my space ring?”
“Yes, it is.” said Ham satisfied, “You are so clever.” he praised.
“Thank you.” said Amelinda, smiled widely.
“You guy also try it.” said Ham turning to Heracles and Gwen.
“I’m just thinking imagining about the place I will store things. Maybe I need some time. What did you imagine Amelinda?” said Gwen.
“I imagined about a place which looks like my room. It is something I feel familiar and comfortable with.” Amelinda replied.
“I don’t like to imagine about my room or any of place I have come. I think about an island at the middle of the sea.” said Gwen dreamily. “There has a brilliant cave. I want my things will be stored in place like that.”
“Okay, I decided to choose it.” Gwen closed his eyes for seconds then opened. He nodded. He seemed to have done something satisfying. “Let me try with my scepter.” said Gwen. He held his hand forward. His eyes focused on his scepter which was stood few feet away. Then his scepter vanished. He smiled with satisfaction.
“What about you Heracles?” spoke Amelinda curiously.
“It give me a strange feeling Amelinda.” said Heracles thoughtfully, “I even didn’t have change to imagine. As I wore this ring, something immediately appeared in my mind. It’s a large space having nothing and covering with white. I don’t know whether it’s the space my ring create or not.”
“Just try it Heracles transferring your items into it.” Ham encouraged.
“Yes, let’s try it.” said Amelinda. Gwen also nodded. Heracles took a look on them then he turned and focused on his scepter with hand handed forward. Then his scepter vanished.
“What do you see now?” asked Amelinda.
“Uhm, it’s still the large space and my scepter appeared there.” answered Heracles.
“I think it has no problem with your space ring.” said Amelinda.
“I also think that. I think it’s normal space ring.” added Gwen.
Heracles nodded.
“It’s all I can help you.” Ham spoke, “Let’s go to the next floor and buy other things. Hope you all will a good time in Hippocoon this year.” Ham smiled.
“Thank you Ham.” they said,
“Will we meet again?” added Heracles.
“Certainly.” said Ham, gave them warm smile.
Heracles, Gwen, Amelinda said goodbye to Ham then left the room. They followed the staircase outside walking up and came to the second floor after. They were used to transformation so they didn’t feel too surprised. There was a bookstore at the second floor. A woman wearing in white chiton sat at a desk standing by the door as they walked in. She stood up as she saw them.
“Nice to meet you! I’m Doris. May I help you?” said the women. She looked on them.
“We come to buy some things.” said Amelinda.
“Could I know your name?” asked Doris.
“My name is Amelinda. He is Heracles and he is Gwen.” said Amelinda, “We are all newbies.”
“The first year right?” said Doris.
“Yes, we are.” answered Amelinda.
“So you must have a must-buy list, right?” asked Doris.
“Yes, we have.” answered Amelinda.
“Let me see it.” said Dois.
“Here it is.” said Amelinda. She gave her a rolled parchment which was sent with the letter she received from Hippocoon. Doris unrolled.
“History of the gods and goddesses by M.Berens; Basic magic control by Peter Andrea; Art and Lyre by H. Jaufre Rudel; Basic herbs and poisons by G. Paidit and of course lyres.”
“Please wait here. I will go and take them for you all.” kindly Doris said.
“Thank you Doris.” said Amelinda.
Then Doris walked heading to bookshelves. She came to the farthest bookshelf made her way into aisle between bookshelves there.
“Do you hear it? We even have study art and lyre.” muttered Gwen to Heracles.
“It’s the thing I worry about. I don’t like lyre.” said Heracles confusedly.
“Yeah, I also don’t like it.” said Gwen, frowned.
“Don’t worry boys. You will do it well if you are taught.” said Amelinda, “Think about others as like magic control. I feel excited as I hear about it. What will we study? Who will teach us? I also feel excited about history of the gods and goddesses. Who are they and what are their powers?”
Amelinda was too excited. She kept talking till Doris turned back, brought a pile of books on her hands.
“Please give me a hand boys.” said Doris.
Heracles and Gwen hurriedly came, helped her to bring the books. They put them on Doris’s desk after that.
“There are three sets of books for you. I put them here.” said Doris, “I need you to go with me because I think you will want to see lyres before you buy them. Let’s follow me and choose yourselves lyres you want.” she added.
Then Doris hurriedly walked ahead leading they went. Amelinda was right after her while Heracles and Gwen were behind them few steps.
“It’s useless to me Gwen.” muttered Heracles, “All lyres looked the same to me.”
“Whatever, we have to choose one.” replied Gwen in whispered voice, “We should follow them.”
Cross bookshelves was a place where lyres were set on wooden shelves.
“This lyre is made of Bubinga which bring to it an authoritative bass and bell-like treble and midrange.” said Doris, introduce them the lyres there, “Next to it the lyre is made of Cherry a good wood darkening with age to a beautiful amber color. It gives a warm and sweet tone that is very pleasing and mellow.”
“How about it?” said Amelinda quickly, pointing at a white cream color lyre.

It is hard to find you” he called up. He hurriedly made the way step down the stairs. Though his body was big and stout, he moved very fast coming to them and froze as he saw a dead on ground. “Who are they?” he asked softly, looking on Amelinda. “This is Lily and - Aunt Calliope.” Amelinda said hesitantly; “She is Lily’s mother.
