“Good choice Amelinda. It is made of Maple, a well wood giving a bright tone that is well-balanced with good projection and a strong fundamental. But, you should also consider the lyre next to of it, the rich purple lyre. I think girl like something purple. It’s made of Walnut giving a medium bright, clear, open sound, rich with overtones or if you don’t like it, looked at the lyre next to it, the reddish brown lyre. It’s made of Sapele. Its tone is great, bright and clean, with a balance of warmth and depth.”
“Can I try them a little?” said Amelinda, “I want to consider them before I choose.”
“Of course, you can. Please do it yourself.” said Doris.
“What’re about you, boys? Does here see the lyres you want?” Doris turned Heracles and Gwen to ask them.
The unexpected question of Doris made both Heracles and Gwen turned embarrassed.
“Uhmm… we need more time watching them.” said Gwen.
“How about it?” said Doris enthusiastically, “the deep auburn red lyre. It’s made of Koa giving both deep and bright, with a strong but very smooth voice. It think it’s suit with you two, boys. If you don’t like it, you can consider lyre which are made of turtle shell, hard and strong.”
“Yeah, I think that I and he also need to try them a little.” said Heracles then looking to Gwen, giving him a hint.
“It’s right. I also need to try them.” said Gwen quickly.
Then they rushed to Amelinda who was trying lyres.
“How can us find out the sound differences of lyres here?” whispered Gwen.
“I don’t know Gwen. I am as poor as you.” whispered Heracles.
“Amelinda” called Gwen, “do you have any suggestion for us?”
“I think you should try them and choose the lyre which makes the sound you like best. I also do it.” replied Amelinda. Heracles and Gwen nodded. They started trying the lyres there. It took them more than an hour before they could choose a lyre for each of them. Heracles almost seemed not able to know sound difference between the lyres they tried. At last, the chose them according to the color they liked, an auburn red lyre which was made of Koa. Gwen chose a light brown lyre made of Walnut. Amelinda was the last person getting her lyre. She chose a purple lyre made of Bubunga. They turned to Doris after that and then she helped them to choose picks suitable with their lyres. Heracles got a brass pick, Gwen had a turtle shell-pick while Amelinda was given a silver pick. All things were stored in their space rings after that.
“Turn back the door and keep going. The stairs will lead you to place you need.” said Doris as they left.
Heracles, Gwen and Amelinda turned back the door after said goodbye Doris. They followed the staircase going up. It led them to a marble staircase. They kept following the marble staircase till the end and realized that they had gone back to the ground floor.
“Welcome back Heracles, Gwen and Amelinda. Thought you got all things you need.” said Chun joyfully, staying by the staircase welcoming them.
“It seems that way.” spoke Heracles uncertainly.
“It’s so, as you come back here.” said Chun, “Please follow me. I lead you to payment counter. There I left your uniforms. After payment you can leave. I hope you are all satisfied about us.”
Chun led them to a desk located next to the door. Three set of uniforms were put neatly on the table. The cashier was sitting there. He wore a long black hooded coat covering whole his body. Heracles tried to see his face but his hood and his dark curly long hair covered almost of it. There had only a pair of deep cold blue eyes Heracles could see. Contrary to Chun, the cashier was too silent. He had not said a word since they came. It made him have a litter mysterious and scary.
“He’s Argose.” said Chun in a low voice, “He inherited the ability of Argus Panoptes. He looked not friendly but is good in his job.”
“Three set of outdoor uniforms, three set of class uniform, three set of books, three scepters, three lyres and picks. All are five hundreds Reni. Give me five of your lightning coins.” said Argose in cold voice. Heracles took out five lightning coins, gave them to Argose. They stored the uniforms into their space rings. After that, They turned, said goodbye Chun then and their way walked out. They got back the narrowed aisle.
“What does he means as he said Argose inherited the ability of Argus Panoptes?” asked Heracles seriously as they were walking.
“Don’t you know Argus Panoptes?” said Gwen.
“Is he the giant who serve goddess Hera?” snapped Amelinda.
“Yes, he is.” said Gwen slowly, “So what do you know about his ability?”
“He is a one-hundred-eye giant who is known as the all-seeing one.” said Amelinda.
“You mean that Argose’s also like him seeing all thing.” cried Heracles.
“Yeah, if his eyes still open, he can look through anything.” said Gwen, “That’s why we don’t need to put out things we have bought.”
“Ah, you make me imagine to him.” squealed Amelinda, “Is he had one hundred eyes under his hooded coat. It makes me scare to think about it.” She shivered slightly.
“I don’t know Amelinda. Guess he doesn’t.” said Gwen.
“Where will we go now? It’s still early to get back.” said Heracles.
“We should wander around and find some exciting things. Heracles what do you think?” said Amelinda.
“I do not object to it.” said Heracles.
“How about you Gwen?” said Amelinda.
“I also don’t have anything to do.” said Gwen.
Heracles, Gwen and Amelinda got back the square. It was different to the aisle they just left. There was very crowded having many of people and shops. The most thing was sold there was food, both fresh and processed. Heracles and his friend strode over booths where people sold living octopuses, jellyfish and squids in water barrels, crossed to place people sold dried food. There had a lot of dry meat, raisins, grains and even pita bread. Heracles and Gwen immediately were attracted by tyropita and spanakopita pies which were filled full by egg, cheese greasy or earthy leaves and salty cheese with very thin layers shatteringly crisp pastry. It made them salivate. They helped themselves to have two of the he pies. One other hand, Amelinda liked to have loukoumades which were pastries made of leavened and deep fried dough, soaked in syrup or honey. Amelinda liked to have honey loukoumades. She got two skewers of loukoumades.
