Few days later, in Hippocoon land, by the forest’s edge, Roger was standing outside of his wooden house. He had been notified that the messenger would come in the day. Therefore, he came out to wait for him. Minutes later, from distance in the sky a person appeared heading toward Roger. The person kept flying very fast to him and seemed not to intend to stop.
“Stay away! Stay away – Please get out from my way. I can not control my winged shoes.” screamed the person, running in midair and waving his hand furiously he prepared to land on the ground. Roger didn’t dodge. As soon as the person could reach on him, Roger stepped aside, reached his hand out and held the person back. He kept the person on his hand one foot above the ground.
“Are you okay?” said Roger, looking at the person concernedly.
“I’m fine. Thank you very much, Sir. If you didn’t hold me back, I think I could have rolled some rounds on ground and worse I could get some bones broken.” said the person gratefully. He struggled to leave Roger’s hand landing on ground after that.
“I have never met you before. What’s your name?” spoke Roger in his deep voice.
“I am Charles a newbie. I’ve just work in postal department for three months. Nice to meet you and thank you again.” he said then started rummaging inside his bag. “Sorry but what is your name?” he added, looked up at Roger.
“I’m Roger.” said he.
“This is your letter, Roger.” said Charles, handed an envelope to Roger. Roger received it, took a look. It was from Heracles, Gwen and Amelinda, his little friends.
“Yeah, it’s mine. Thank you Charles” said Roger.
“Uhm—I have to leave now. There still have many things for me to deliver. Goodbye!” said Charles.
“See you later, Charles.” said Roger.
Charles flattened his clothes, lowered his body then started running. He ran for in seconds till the small white wings on his shoes trembled then brought him off ground. Still kept his feet running in midair. “See you later.” His voice echoed back to Roger.
Roger stood still there, looked till the shape of Charles disappeared then made his way turn back to his house. He closed the door after to go in. He walked straight to the table, sat down on one chair. He tore the envelope, took the letter inside out and started reading it.
“Hi Roger!
It is two months from the time we left Hippocoon land. How are you recently? Do you still stay at Hippocoon land? Does Hippocoon land have anything happen? Hope you and all our professors are still fine and everything is okay.
If you want know about us recently, I can tell you that I, Heracles and Gwen are still fine. We are staying together in Heracles and my house. We are ourselves learning about things called magical stones and had planed to go All-For-You shop and buy some magical stones. However, we couldnt find the All-For-You shop at the time and also didnt know any other place to buy magical stones now. We had thought alot and honestly we didn’t want to bother our professors who are always busy with their work and also don’t want to get much attention from them. Therefore, I wrote this letter, sent it to you. I hope you will help us, telling us where we can find the magical stone.
Hope we can receive you reply soon!!
Amelinda
At the Rose house, The Corner Street, Tiryns.”
That was all in the letter. Roger finished he put it on the table then made his way to his bedroom. Later, he turned back and brought a paper, a quill with him. He got back his chair and then started writing. Minutes later, he stopped, put his quill aside on the table. He folded the paper then put it into a new envelope, sealed carefully then brought it going out. Roger stood in front of his house, put two fingers in mouth whistling then waited there for a while. A long loud crying replied him coming from the sky; a hawk appeared. It flew on the sky for few rounds then swooped down heading to Roger. Roger straight his hand then the hanks landed on it at his wrist. Roger pulled his arm in front of his face, caressed on the hank’s head by the other hand. The hank blinked enjoying.
“To Amelinda, Heracles and Gwen – The Rose house, Corner Street, Tiryns.” spoke Roger. He took out the letter from his cloak’s bag handed to the hank. It flatted. It flew up, used its claws grabbed on Roger’s envelope then flew up sky. It cried loudly then flew away. Minutes later, it disappeared. Roger turned his way back to his house, closed the door then kept staying in it the reaming of day.
It hurriedly turned dark outside. Everything turned silent.
