Chapter 2: Treasure Island (part 5)

“Five years since I first met Pi. It had grown a lot into a large and powerful being called the Griffin. I had made a large sum of money by selling the fragments of the expanded Pi, leaving the landlord's house and buying myself a large piece of land next to an old forest big enough for Pi to live and hide in there. Such a life seemed pretty great to both me and Pi. However, I recently discovered that something had changed inside Pi. We had been together for a long time, so somehow we were able to share our thoughts and feelings with each other. Although it’s not obvious, lately I felt Pi’s desire. It was the first time in five years that I felt it.
Pi’s desire became more and more obvious, but it was still not clear enough that I could discern what it was. Furthermore, Pi did not return home and stayed in the forest for several days. I had to go to the forest to look for it but couldn’t find it.
Pi’s desire became clearer a few days later. Finally, a clear thought appeared in my mind, “home”. Then I got a message from Pi, that in a day it would come back.
Three days later, Pi flew down from the sky and landed right in front of our house. It stood there looking at me. I also looked at it. The two of us didn't say anything for a few minutes. In the end, I was the first to speak up. “So you want to go home?”
“Yes.” Pi’s voice popped into my head as usual.
“Do you know where your house is?” I asked.
“Somewhere in sea.” Pi answered.
I kept silent for a moment to think. “Are you sure you have to go back home?”
Pi was silent for a long time. “Yes, I definitely have to go back.”
It was the first time in my life that I felt confused. I quietly left and walked inside house.
The next days I stayed at home and thought while Pi kept outside. At last, I made the decision for myself going home with Pi.
After handing over the house to trusted people, I packed my bags and left with Pi. We flew east towards the sea.”
Heracles skipped a few pages. He continued to read.
“Finally, after many days at sea we reached Pi's house. It was a large island isolated in the middle of the ocean. An island covered with treasures. Griffins were treasure-loving creatures, so they had decorated their home with countless gold, silver and precious stones. Therefore, the appearance of humans here was a taboo. I would have died if it weren't for Pi. Because Pi's identity was very special, he was the only son of King Griffin and my bringing Pi back to them made me their hero. I was the only human to receive the title of “friend of Griffin, given a necklace by the king of Griffin with a drop of his own blood, and privileged to live on that island indefinitely.
My time on the island made me realize that Griffins were not only powerful creatures, they are also wise and intelligent beings. Somehow, I could communicated with them the way I communicated with Pi, through thought. Griffins were quite friendly, they taught me a lot, even magic. It was a new thing for me.
Time passed quickly, I stayed on that island for half a year. I felt homesick and wanted to go back. I confided that to Pi. Pi understood my feelings. He didn't hold me back. I met the king of Griffin after that and asked to leave. The King of Griffin agreed. and he ordered the Griffins to help me return to my homeland. I thought I'd have a long sea voyage like the way I got here but that's not, the Griffins were wiser than I thought. They used something called shifting–circles to get me home. It only took a few minutes until I realized I was standing at the door of my beloved home. I have returned home.
After going home, I returned to a normal life, got married and had children and lived like any other normal person. Married life kept me busy and I didn't have much time to think about Pi. Life went on for many years. My children grew up and became independent. At that time, there was a desire in my heart, to return to the Treasure Island and see Pi again. Shifting-circles was the first thing that came to my mind. It could be used by human. So I used my money to buy a lot of ancient magic books in hopes of finding a way to make a shifting-circles. After years of searching I finally got some clues. After many years I was able to create the shifting-circles myself and returned to Treasure Island.
No many things changed when I returned. The Griffins still welcomed me with the same enthusiasm as they used to. So every few months I used shifting-circles to get to the Treasure Island and came back home after a few days. All these things were kept secret even from my family.
Years later, my health deteriorated and I was no longer able to go to the treasure island as before. My last wish to see Pi again before I died might not come true. So I wrote these words for someone to read and know that there had a beautiful friendship between humans and Griffin. There had once a Treasure Island and there had a thing called shifting-circles that let you teleport to where you wanted to go. I was enclosing a necklace containing King Griffin's blood with this diary for anyone who is lucky enough to find it. It is a testament to the friendship of man and Griffin. With that, I’ll show you how to create a shifting-circles below and hope it helps. If possible, help me fulfill my last life wish, go to the treasure island for once.
Thank you very much
Signed: Sherwin
Heracles stopped. It’s a long story and it’s really hard to believe. A story from a long time ago but perhaps no one found and was forgotten on the roof of Gwen's house.
“Have you read this diary?” Heracles asked, turning to Gwen.
“Of course, I read it.” He replied.
“So did you find the necklace?” Heracles asked.
“Yes, I found it but left it in my room." Gwen replied.
“So have you read the back pages of the diary? Do you know how to create a shifting-circles?” asked Heracles.
“Yes, I have read it and know how to create shifting-circle. However, I don't find it here, the most important thing to create shifting-circles.” said Gwen.
“What is that?” squealed Heracles.
"Magic stones." Gwen replied, “So I want you to find them with me today.”

Chapter 11: The gate (part 9)

A loud bag spread out above their heads. Two hooded cloak men lied quietly on ground. Roger walked to the gallery. “Heracles, Gwen and Amelinda, you all are here. It is hard to find you” he called up. He hurriedly made the way step down the stairs. Though his body was big and stout, he moved very fast coming to them and froze as he saw a dead on ground. “Who are they?” he asked softly, looking on Amelinda. “This is Lily and - Aunt Calliope.” Amelinda said hesitantly; “She is Lily’s mother. She saved all of us.” she added sadly.  Between curly hair and bushy beard which almost covered his face were warm eyes. She warmly looked on Lily who was sitting on ground holding her mother’s hand. He decided to keep silent, turned to Heracles, Gwen, Amelinda then turned to the dead Hydra dragon which was not far away from them.  “I dont know how you could kill the dragon but there has one thing we have to do before we leave this place.” said Roger calmly, “Go with me Amelinda. “We can’t ask him.” squealed Gwen, “He is the person I don’t want to tell most. We should find All-For-You shop first and If we don’t find it, we will try to find other ways.” “We have no other choice.” said Heracles.  The carriage kept moving in long time then stopped. “We came - master.” the voice of the coachman coming in. “We Out Heracles.” said Gwen.  Heracles stood up at one. He kept his head down, gabbed on door handle then pushed it open. He made his way step out landing on the ground first, Gwen right after him then stepped aside. He turned to his coachman. “Find the way to park and make sure you can see us when we turn back. We will not here long time.” he said. “Follow your words, master.” said the coachman solemnly. He leathered the horses riding away.  Hurriedly, Heracles and Gwen strode off. They heading to a narrow aisle between houses, where they found All-For-You shop last time. It’s always deserted inside the aisle every times they walked in it and didn’...
