Chapter 2: Treasure Island (part 2)

“A map.” replied Gwen, grabbed on the parchment, unrolled then flattened it on the table, “This place is called Treasure Island. It is also considered as the home of griffins.” added Gwen. He pointed at the middle of the parchment. Heracles followed his finger and saw an island looking like eagle head at the middle of the sea. It’s an alone island that no island surround they scattered far away from it.
“And this is our place now.” added Gwen, pointed at the mainland at the coastal areas.
“I see.” said Heracles nodding, “But what do you want to do? I really don't understand what you mean.” Heracles raised his voice turning to him.
“I plan to come to Treasure Island and I want you to go with me.”
“Are you serious? It’s really far, Gwen.” said Heracles, “How can we pass the sea to get on the island.”
“Of course, we will not come to there by normal ways.” said Gwen, lowered his voice. He stopped, bent his head down. He lowered his voice again. It’s really low but Heracles still could hear. “We will use Magic Circle to move to the place.” he said.
“Magic Circle.” repeated Heracles, forgetting to lower his voice.
“Shhhh…” Gwen put finger on his mouth, hint Heracles not to talk too loudly, “Don’t make it noisy Heracles.” he squealed but still to keep his voice lower. “I don’t want anyone other to hear.” he added.
“But,” Heracles squealed, but he stopped in time to lower his voice, “What is Magic Circle? I even haven’t heard about it. How can use it?”
“To avoid any troubleI don’t bring it here but there is a diary that tells us everything to get Treasure Island in my home.” said Gwen, still in a low voice.
Heracles nodded but then he suddenly thought of something. “But why would you want to go there?” he asked.
Gwen didn’t answer. He smiled and wiped his nose cross with his finger. “Recently, my parents have been having a little bit of financial trouble and I wanted to help them a little.” he said.
“So, you want to go there and get the treasure on the island to help your family.” said Heracles.
“Yes, that is my intention.” said Gwen. He grinned widely.
“Okay, I will go with you.” said Heracles.
“Heracles – Gwen, are you inside?” the voice of Amelinda outside Heracles’s room.
“Yes, we are.” replied Heracles. He stood up, went forward the door and opened.
“Hi Amelinda.” spoke Gwen smiling.
“Hi Gwen, I heard you just arrived.” replied Amelinda. She made the way went forward the table with Heracles.
“Yes, I have just arrived.” said Gwen smiling.
Heracles had come to the table and sat down on his seat while Amelinda kept standing by him. “What are you doing? Why do you have to lock the door?” she asked.
“Nothing, we have some things men need to talk about.” Gwen spoke at one.
Amelinda pouted. “You are not men. You are just boys.” she said.
“Alright, we are not men. We are just boys.” said Gwen. He smiled.
“Anyway, you guys don't hide anything from me?” Amelinda raised her voice. She stared at Gwen.
“No, we not.” said Gwen at one.
Amelinda kept silent. She turned to Heracles. “He is right. We just talk something of boys.” said Heracles.
“Okay, I’ll leave and let you talk privately.” said Amelinda. Then she made her way leave. When she went away, Heracles turned to his friend. “Are you not going to let her know?” he asked.
“We won't tell her for the time being.” said Gwen.
Heracles and Gwen kept staying in his room till the lunch. They made their way to the kitchen. When they came there, all people had been there.
“Nice to meet you Queen Alcmene. Hi everyone.” said Gwen.
“Nice to meet you Gwen.” replied Queen Alcmene, “Come here and join with us.”
Heracles and Gwen promptly came. They took the seats next to the other. Heracles was by his mother.
“Long time no see. You look grown up a lot” spoke up Aunt July.
“Thank Aunt July. It’s a long time I don’t come here.” Gwen answered, “I, Heracles and Amelinda did have a long term in Hippocoon land.” He smiled.
“Yes, I know it.” said aunt July, also giving him a big smile.
“Are you here today to visit us or is there anything else?” spoke Aunt Lena.
“Today, I came to invite Heracles to my home few days.” answered Gwen.
“How is about Amelinda? Don’t you invite her to your home.” asked Aunt Lena.
“They have something that only men can do.” squealed Amelinda.
“Actually I didn't fool you.” said Gwen softly.
Amelinda pouted.
“Oh come on! Let the boy have chance to eat.” said Aunt July.
Gwen turned to her, looked at her by grateful eyes then turned to his bow placed by his plate, grabbed on his spoon, helped himself to have a little soup from a great big bow put at middle of the dinner table then started to eat.
“You should try some lamb chop. It very well.” suggested Lena. She smiled.
“Thank you. I will try it.” said Gwen at one smile.
It was very pleasant lunch. People were happy as Gwen came and have meal with them. They talked very much in the meal, asked Gwen about his family recently. Gwen was pleasant to answer them, of course not all. After the lunch, people scattered. Heracles and Gwen found the way to his room. They took fast sleep there. When they woke up, they found the way to Queen Alcmene’s room. Standing in front of the door, Heracles knocked.
“It’s me, Heracles.” he said.
“Come in, Heracles. The door is not locked.” the voice of Queen Alcmene came out. Heracles opened the door. He walked in. There at the table next to the window his mother was sitting. She was putting on a white. The light from the window made her godly. Aunt Alcmene put his book down, looked forward them.
“I came to let you know I'm going to Gwen’s house.” said Heracles, walked forward his mother.
“Okay, let’s go.” said Queen Alcmene gently.
“Thank you, mom.” said Heracles happily, “I’ll meet you later.”
“See you later Queen Alcmene.” said Gwen politely.
“See you.” she replied with a gentle smile.
Then they made their way leave. Heracles gently closed the door after they walked out. He and Gwen found the way get on ground floor. They met Amelinda there in the living room.
