Chapter 2: Treasure Island (part 6)

Heracles looked around silently for a while. There's just too much here for Gwen to check out on her own.
“I have to admit that in the first time I read diary.” added Gwen deeply, “I was immediately attracted by the stories and really wanted to meet and have travels on a griffin’s back like him. I think I did get my life goals.”
“Traveling on griffin’s back. That might be a crazy idea” Heracles raised his voice, “Also, It is forbidden now?”
“I know. I know it – Heracles.” said Gwen, “We are not allowed to fly on creatures like griffins now but not all people. There still have people who are allowed to mount on the creatures. One of them is the person both I and you know. He is our principal – Professor Finn. Of course,” Gwen voice turned serious, “I also know that very few people are allowed and each of them has license to fly on the creatures but it is not impossible, right?”
“Professor Finn is one of the people.” Heracles raised his voice.
“Yes, he is.” said Gwen, “Anyway, I don’t hope to have license  like the people, just wanting to come, see, touch and sit on wonderful creature’s back, having the chance flying around Treasure Island and then turn back.” Gwen grinned widely.
“That is quite dangerous. Griffins are arrogant creatures. It is not easy to gain their acceptance.” said Heracles.
“Yes, I know that it is quite dangerous. However, we have the necklace. With it we will be considered friends by Griffin.” said Gwen grinning.
“Whatever,” said Heracles loudly, “Where do you think that magical stone will be, in those stuff?”
“Dunno.” said Gwen shortly, “I think we have to look in the chests one by one.”
“I will take a long time.” said Heracles.
“If we try, we can finish it in a day.” asserted Gwen. “Now let’s start.” he added, looked at Heracles smiling.
“Okay,--” Heracles replied.
Then, they began to open the chests. Each of them chose a chest. Heracles went and opened the chest closest to him. He discovered some knives and swords in there. He took them out, placed on ground but he didn’t find any magical stone. Gwen on other side opened a chest of armors which after that were put next to Heracles’ knives and swords. Gwen also didn’t find any magical stones inside his chest. Therefore, they kept opening other chests. Then suddenly Gwen found out something. It’s a small wooden box. Gwen pushed stuff over the wooden box aside then grabbed on it and took out from the chest.
“Heracles, come here! Come and see what I find here.” said Gwen in happy voice. He put the wooden book on floor.
Heracles hurriedly approached then made the way sit by him. Gwen opened the wooden box. It showed up some necklaces and bracelets. They all were made of gold, attached some small gems. Gwen and Heracles’s eyes became cheerful they turned to the others grinning then turned back the wooden box at one. Gwen grabbed on a necklace then hung it up. It’s beautiful necklace attached few colorful gems.
“What do you think about this thing?” said Gwen, turned to Heracles grinning again.
“I’m not sure but it looks pretty valuable.” said Heracles.
“Yes, it will probably help our family right now.” said Gwen. He smiled. “But, I will leave it here for a while until we return from Treasure Island.”He put the necklace back to the wooden box with the other things there, closed and then put it aside. Then he and Heracles turned back the chests and continued searching for the magical stones. Noon quickly came. They felt hungry. Therefore, Gwen asked Heracles to keep staying in the attic while he made his way go down and hurriedly vanished.
After Gwen left, Heracles found a place, laid himself on floor between piles of stuff, took a rest then quickly fell in sleep. It’s rather quiet around. Nothing bothered Heracles turned in deep sleep.
“Heracles – Heracles – Heracles” called Gwen three times but his friend didn’t wake up.
“Heracles” called Gwen again, shook Heracles’s hand.
Heracles moved opened his eyes. “Oh Gwen, you did come back.” said Heracles in sleepy voice. He took a long yawn, managed to sit up.
“I just came to kitchen and get something.” said Gwen, pushed one plate he did put there toward Heracles. “Your plate.” he said.
“Thank you.” said Heracles, took the plate up, put on his crossed legs. Grabbed forks, Heracles and Gwen started enjoying their servings.
“We need to take a rest after lunch and will back to the job in afternoon.” said Gwen.
“Uhm--” said Heracles, chewing, “also think that. I fee – relly sleepy.”
“Okay, let hurry.” said Gwen.
They quickly finished their meals, put the empty plates aside. They lied down by the others. Eyes still opened, they looked on the roof.
“I’m really full.” groaned Heracles.
“Yeah, I’m too” said Gwen tiredly. He sighed.
They place turned silent Heracles and Gwen didn’t talk more there only had their breaths. They both slowly fell in fast sleep.
***
Heracles and Gwen woke up at middle afternoon. They continued finding for the magical stones in other chests. The more chests they opened, the more stuff they got. They found old items as like oil lamps, badges, wood boards having Gwen’s family on, some ancient coins. They even found old porcelain plates and bowls in there. The things were almost occupied the place there, standing into small stacks around Heracles and Gwen.
“Gwen - come here. I have something they seem to be magical stones.” squealed Heracles.
“Where?” Gwen said loudly. He immediately rushed into Heracles.
“Let me see them.” said Gwen impatiently.
“Here – wait me a little.” said Heracles. He pushed books aside in chest aside, grabbed and took out a piece of dark crystal then gave to Gwen. Gwen received it, observed for a while. “Help me take it.” said Gwen, gave the piece of crystal back to Heracles. He got the diary and came back at one. He hurriedly opened it and stopped at a page which had some drawings.
“Here Heracles – it’s magical stone but it seems to have run out of energy.” said Gwen disappointedly. He gave Heracles the dairy to see the page.
“When the magical stones turn dark that no light spread out, it means all of energy has run out. They can no longer be used.” Heracles stopped that was all the words in the page. He took his eyes on the drawings and then turned to the piece of dark crystal on Gwen’s hand comparing.
“You are right. This magical stone has run out of energy. We can’t use it. But, there still have magical stones.” Herecles encouraged, “We will find useful magical stones.” Then, he turned back to the chest, bent down, threw all stuff out. At last, he took out two other magical stones. “It still has magical stones here.” said Heracles hinting Gwen to his chest. Gwen approached and then took out some. They got nine magical stones at all. They had different shapes. However, all of them had run out of energy.
“All of them have turned dark.” said Heracles, looking nine magical stones which were placed on floor.
“Yeah--” said Gwen disappointedly, “We have to find magical stones at other places. All magical stones we find here can not be used more.”
“We have no choice.” said Heracles in unhappy voice. They both sat down, leaning again the chest. Both turned silent because of disappointment. It turned silent around them.
“Anyway,” Heracles spoke up hinting his friend to the stuff around, “What do we do with the stuff now?”
“We have to put them into their right places.” said Gwen, turned to his friend grinning.
***
It took them few hours to put the things back to their places that when they finished, it’s late afternoon. They left the place and then came to Gwen’s room. Gwen left his room going to his family’s kitchen to ask for their dinners after that while Heracles stayed still in there sitting by a table inside the room. The footsteps appeared Gwen came back after minutes. Bringing two large plates on hands, he went in.
“Do you like chicken thighs or lamb chops?” asked Gwen at the door heading to Heracles.
“Give me the chicken thighs.” said Heracles then received one plate from Gwen. There had some chicken thighs coated with tomato sauce in the plate. Heracles put it on the table, waited Gwen to sit down. They sat opposite each other. Taking on his knife and fork, Heracles started cutting his chicken thighs in pieces.
“Where do you think we will find magical stones?” he said, raised his head up taking a look on Gwen and then turned to his chicken thighs, stabbed on a piece raised up then put in his mouth chewing.
“Ingtown.” said Gwen, chewing. He swallowed the piece of lamb. “The All-For-You shop must have stuff like that.” added Gwen. The problem is whether we can find The All-For-You shop or not. “
“Why not?” said Heracles.
“Because, the All-For-You shop frequently changes its position. It can appeared anywhere on the world and will appear in the town few days before the term start for people like us to come and buy necessary items. Of course, it also can appear few times at one place in a year. If we are lucky, we can find it in the town.” said Gwen seriously.
It’s quickly getting dark in the time Heracles and Gwen had the dinner. Darkness did cover whole the place outside; oil lamps had been lit up. From Gwen’s mansion lights could be seen; they spread out from house in the distance. Heracles and Gwen at the moment still sat in the room still conversing. Later, Gwen left the room, got out for a while then turned back big meal. They had dinner together in the house at the table.
The night got more dark and silent after that. People went to the bed and fell in sleep, Heracles and Gwen also slept.

It is hard to find you” he called up. He hurriedly made the way step down the stairs. Though his body was big and stout, he moved very fast coming to them and froze as he saw a dead on ground. “Who are they?” he asked softly, looking on Amelinda. “This is Lily and - Aunt Calliope.” Amelinda said hesitantly; “She is Lily’s mother.
