Chapter 7: The cursed land Lernaen (part 6)

“It’s been a long time, right child?” a deep low voice behind Heracles. Heracles immediately turned back because he realized the voice; it belonged to the Nemea lion.

“Why can you here? You died.” screamed Heracles. Surprise appeared on his face. He stepped backward.

“You’re right, child. I died.” said the Nemea lion, its voice cold as like it came from a very deep place, “ I am not able to harm you little. You don’t need to fear. Keep your calm and look where you are.”

“Where I am now? What do you mean?” squealed Heracles.

“Don’t ask me. Use your eyes.” said the Nemea lion.

Still wary Heracles kept looking on the Nemea lion for a while. But, the Nemea lion seemed not to intend to attack him. It lazily lied on ground few steps from him. Honestly, Heracles was not sure that he and it were on ground. There was a wide and strange place and not having the beginning and the ending. Except Heracles and the Nemea lion there had nothing; whole the place was covered by white.

“Where on the world am I?” Where are Gwen and Amelinda? I just stayed with Gwen few minutes ago. How can I come to this place with you him?” muttered Heracles. All things seemed too difficult to understand now. “Where is this place?” said Heracles, looked in the Neamean’s eyes.

“Inside your dream.” said the Nemea lion shortly. It laid head on its front legs then closed eyes.

“Are you sure that we are in my dream?” said Heracles, his voice turned very high. The Nemea lion lazily opened eyes again, looked at Heracles.

“Yes” said the Nemea lion.

“It’s not true. You lie to me. How can you answer me that I am dreaming?” said Heracles. He stopped for moments thinking. “You are not my dream.” he spoke in heavy voice.

The Nemea lion opened its eyes at one staring at Heracles for moments.

“You are right. I am not the piece your dream.” said the Nemea lion gently. It closed eyes then laid head on the front feet again.

“What are you?” said Heracles loudly, “You can not exist. You had died.”

“Yes, I died. I have told you it. I am only one piece of soul and I will vanish soon. You don’t need to care much.” said the Nemea lion, still kept the eyes shut. It seemed not care to anything but to rest. However, its saying made Heracles turned much more serious. “What do you mean? Wake up and talk me more.” he raised his voice very high. However, Nemea lion didn’t answer. It made Heracles turned impatient. “Hey! Don’t sleep. Tell me it.” cried Heracles. The Nemea lion reluctantly opened eyes looking on Heracles; it didn’t hurry to answer Heracles.

“Wake up Heracles. It’s time for lunch.” the voice of Amelinda was somewhere upon Heracles’s head coming to his ears. Immediately, He took his eyes off the Nemea lion looking up to the sky but he didn’t see her; the place upon his head was not completely like the sky. It is just a white space and Heracles didn’t know what it was called.

“Heracles-” the voice of Amelinda spread out again. Her voice was still somewhere upon his head.

“Yes, I woke up now.” Heracles said. However, his voice didn’t come to Amelinda.

“Heracles, wake up.” the voice of Amelinda turned much loudly.

“I’m going to wake.” said Heracles. But, the voice of Amelinda and then Gwen turned much worried.

“Heracles, Heracles, what’s going on with you.” they impatiently called him.

“Hey Amelinda, Gwen, don’t any of you hear me?” Heracles shouted but there Gwen and Amelinda still called him. It made him turned much confused he didn’t know how to reply his friends and escape the place. At last, he had no choice turning to the Nemea lion and planned to ask. As soon as he looked down, he realized that darkness was invading the place. It quickly rounded him and the Nemea lion inside a circle. The darkness approached to the Nemea lion first and then covered upon its body. Strangely, the Nemean seemed not care about the darkness. It still lazily lied on the ground sleeping and didn’t move little. Till it almost was covered by darkness, the Nemean opened its eyes looking on Heracles then said something but he couldn’t catch it.

“We will meet again.” the last words of the Nemea lion echoed to Heracles while it body had sunk into darkness completely. The darkness approached Heracles more and more closely. The more dark went to him, the more he heard voice of Amelinda and Gwen clearly. It made him much impatient wanting to do something. However, there had no place for him to go; the dark had reached to him. It quickly covered on his feet, his legs going on his chest then at last covered whole his body. He sank into darkness completely

“Whosp!” Heracles woke up; opened his eyes and saw the familiar face. He smiled because he just broke out from his dream after standing in complete dark in seconds.

“What’s wrong with you Heracles? I did call you for minutes.” squealed Amelinda.

“I was kept in my dream.” said Heracles. He smiled gently.

“It’s must be nice dream, right Heracles?” said Gwen.

“No, I don’t Gwen.” said Heracles seriously.

“What happened to you.” asked Gwen, frowning.

“I heard that it’s time for lunch.” said Heracles, turning to Amelinda.

“Yes, it’s. I come to call you.” replied Amelinda.

“I will talk you both after lunch.” said Heracles thoughtfully, “Now, we should go.”

“Hurry! Aunt Calliope and Lily are waiting for us.” squealed Amelinda.

Heracles and Gwen got out of the bed, followed Amelinda to the kitchen. Heracles became quiet, not telling any word from he left the room. His friend, Gwen was by him. He understood him most knowing that he shouldn’t ask him anything once he didn’t want to talk. However, on the way he sometime turned to see his face though he couldn’t discover anything. Minutes later, they walked in the kitchen.

“Come on! All things ready. Been waiting for you. You are so slow.” said Lily loudly.

“Sorry, I did sleep too deeply.” said Heracles quickly.

“Oh, don’t mind it. Come here and take your seats. Our lunch begins now.” said aunt Calliope gently.

Heracles, Amelinda and Gwen made their way to sit. Amelinda sat on the chair right next to Lily while Heracles and Gwen sat opposite them. Aunt Calliope sat at one end of the table closest the fire.

“Give me your hands.” spoke Aunt Calliope. Then as the last night they created a circle by hands.

“Thank god for food and drink you give us. We send thanks to you because you are always by us, protect us, observe, help and forgive us. We also send thanks to you, our Lord. You have protected us in long time and allow us to live comfortably in your places place. We very thank to you – our god and our Lord.” muttered aunt Calliope. He released Heracles’s and Lily’s hand after she finished.

“Let’s begin.” she said.

The lunch took place in silence and didn’t waste them much time. When they finished it, Amelinda and Lily stood up helping Aunt Calliope to clean up while Heracles and Gwen stayed still at the table waiting for them

Chapter 11: The gate (part 9)

A loud bag spread out above their heads. Two hooded cloak men lied quietly on ground. Roger walked to the gallery. “Heracles, Gwen and Amelinda, you all are here. It is hard to find you” he called up. He hurriedly made the way step down the stairs. Though his body was big and stout, he moved very fast coming to them and froze as he saw a dead on ground. “Who are they?” he asked softly, looking on Amelinda. “This is Lily and - Aunt Calliope.” Amelinda said hesitantly; “She is Lily’s mother. She saved all of us.” she added sadly.  Between curly hair and bushy beard which almost covered his face were warm eyes. She warmly looked on Lily who was sitting on ground holding her mother’s hand. He decided to keep silent, turned to Heracles, Gwen, Amelinda then turned to the dead Hydra dragon which was not far away from them.  “I dont know how you could kill the dragon but there has one thing we have to do before we leave this place.” said Roger calmly, “Go with me Amelinda. “We can’t ask him.” squealed Gwen, “He is the person I don’t want to tell most. We should find All-For-You shop first and If we don’t find it, we will try to find other ways.” “We have no other choice.” said Heracles.  The carriage kept moving in long time then stopped. “We came - master.” the voice of the coachman coming in. “We Out Heracles.” said Gwen.  Heracles stood up at one. He kept his head down, gabbed on door handle then pushed it open. He made his way step out landing on the ground first, Gwen right after him then stepped aside. He turned to his coachman. “Find the way to park and make sure you can see us when we turn back. We will not here long time.” he said. “Follow your words, master.” said the coachman solemnly.
