Chapter 6: Wander in the forest (part 8)

“Lamia--” Gwen spoke unconsciously.

“What did you just say guy?” squealed the girl one more time, staring at Gwen with her beautiful blue eyes.

“No, I didn’t.” Gwen answered hesitantly. “But – you seem not human.” he added.

“Yes, I am not. I am half human and half snake.” she innocently admitted as though it’s very normal thing. Heracles, Gwen and Amelinda rounded they couldn’t say anything.

“Whatever, who are you?” the girl spoke up, “Why don’t see you before.” She observed them carefully.

“I’m Amelinda. He and he are Heracles and Gwen. They are my friends.” said Amelinda quickly hinting the girl Heracles and Gwen.

“Where do you live? You seem not come from village. I have never seen you here.” the girl asked again, her voice got a bit high she seemed excited about something.

“We don’t live here.” Heracles said shortly.

“What?” the girl shrieked again. It was not easy for others to hear. But, it’s not all the girl suddenly turned in to silent after shrieking. She stood still rounding her beautiful looking at them strangely.

“You say that you don’t live here?” she said. “How can it happen? How can you come to here?” she asked again. “You can’t. No one could come here.” she continued speaking.

“Sorry – but can you speak slowly? We can’t answer if you continue asking us.” squealed Amelinda.

“Oh, I am sorry. I’m – I’m, only too excited.” said the girl. “I have never left this place and also have never met anyone coming from outside.” she added, “I am Lily. Nice to meet you!” she smiled sweetly.

“Nice to meet you too!” Amelinda, Heracles and Gwen replied her.

Where do you come from guys?” said the girl, still in the excited voice, staring at them attentively.

“Tiryns, it is the place we live.” Heracles answered her.

“Tiryns.” Lily repeated. “Where is the place? How far is it from here? How does it look like? How do people work to live? Which do they eat and drink?” she continued asking excitedly.

“I live here from I was child, not leaving the place a time, always dream about other lands, and the people living there. It’s my dream I can not leave this place.” her tone was very excited turning sad. She stopped a bit it’s enough for her to make few blinks. “How is your place? Take me about it.” she added.

“It’s a country, crowded and noisy. It’s too different with the wildness and quietness here. Especially towns which are the most crowded and richest places there people come to sell and buy everything. However, What I like most in the places it’s delicious food and drink you can find in streets. They will satisfy you at one in the first time.” said Gwen excitedly. He still dreamed about food and drink after all. “I think you have never seen tall buildings, wide squares, stone roads, stores, restaurants and pubs. If you come to our place, I will take you around.” he added with big smile.

“Oh really?” Lily yelled, her eyes turned twinkling because of interest but her eyes turned dark at one, “I can’t leave this place.” sadly she said.

“Why do you can not?” Gwen curiously spoke.

“I can’t leave.” she repeated again not answering Gwen’s question.

“If you want, we will bring you as we leave this place.” said Amelinda.

“Leave this place. You can.” squealed Lily.

“Yes, we can. We can come to here. We also can leave.” Amelinda resolutely. “Just give us a bit time.”

“A bit time - why do you need a bit time? Why don’t you leave now?” Lily squealed.

“We need time to find out where is this place on the world. Only know it, we can leave this place” Amelinda answered. “Honestly,” she added, “we didn’t go here on purpose. We don’t know where exactly this place is.”

“It’s Lernaen here.” Lily said at one. “But I don’t understand. How didn’t you come to here while you didn’t plan to go here on purpose? Where do you want to go?” she asked curiously.

“Treasure Island. Do you hear about it? It is the place we want to go.” said Gwen in deep voice.

“No, I don’t know the place. Where is it?” said Lily excitedly.

“It’s an island in middle of the sea, covered by the sea and isolated from other place.” Gwen lowered his voice making it mysteriously, “A place considered as like home of the griffins and known by another name The Treasure Island.”

Lily’s eye lit up she listened attentively to him but Gwen stopped at halfway. It made Lily a bit disappointment. “So what happen after that? How do you do to go to the island?” said Lily impatiently, staring at Gwen waiting for answer. Gwen was a little surprised because of Lily’s questions. Magic was not something so special in his world. However, not all people were free to use it especially children. Gwen stopped awhite. He didn’t speak, taking his eyes on Lily’s lower body then decided to talk. “We use magic.” he said hesitantly.

“Magic,” Lily said thoughtfully. She seemed not surprised by Gwen and seemed not strange to magic. “Magic can not be used here.” she muttered to herself. “Which magic did you use?” she spoke up.

“We used a shifting-circle.” Amelinda spoke this time, used her big eyes looking on Lily.

“A shifting - circle – what is it? I have not heard about it before.” asked Lily.

“It is a magical circle, a way we use to go to distant place in very short time.” said Amelinda, “It’s honestly very difficult to talk you understand now. If I have time, I will talk you about it.”

“I wait for it” said Lily in very gentle voice. “However,” she suddenly spoke again, “I’m curious having one more question to ask you. That is – why don’t you use – what is this  - uhm – magic circle to leave this place now?”

“We can’t - at least now.” Amelinda honestly said, “When we want to use shifting – circles moving place to place, we have to know exactly where the two place on the world and the distance between them. Only knowing the things, we can create a shifting – circles and then use it to move. But now we don’t know the things and are forced to stay here in days.”

Chapter 10: I am Heracles (part 7)

“Do you believe me?” said Heracles seriously glaring on his friend. Look into Heracles’s eyes, Gwen had never seen he is so serious. Still kept silent, he bowed his head. “Will you follow my words?” asked Heracles again. “Yes, I will. But, can you behave as usual, Agassi? You make me a little scared.” said Gwen. “Listen to me Gwen.” said Heracles, hurriedly left the bed coming to the clothes hanger, “You’re Gwen and I’m Heracles. They are our names. They don’t change though others call us by anything.” he stressed, his hand grabbed on his clothes and managed to put in it, “It’s very difficult for you to accept it now” he lowered his voice, “but we have been enchanted. That’s why you and even I can not remember ourselves. Now I can not help you to remember all the things right at one. I only can tell you little by little. However, it took us much time while we don’t have. Amelinda is in danger. We have to go to help her.” he turned back the bed giving Gwen his clothes. “Who is Ameninda?

Chapter 11: The gate (part 1)

It’s morning. Sunlight shone to everywhere. Heracles and Gwen were lying on a large round piece of metal meticulously sculpted a hammer and an anvil in the central and snakes winding around. The round piece of metal looked like a trapdoor, very tough and heavy that only people having enormous power could take it up. Heracles was lying on his back and his right hand was holding the sword; Gwen’s on other side lying on his stomach. The helmet was still on his head while the metal shield was brought on his back. Kon had vanished. Heat coming from the trapdoor made Gwen wake up. With wincing face Gwen contorted his body to sit up. Whole his body was in pain as though he had just passed a fight. He adjusted the wide helmet and looked. Beside him his friend. Heracles was there.  “Heracles!” he called softly, gently touched on his friend and not forgot to observe around. Heracles woke. He sat up. “Gwen” he said.  “Heracles - look! Where is this place? Why are we here?” asked Gwen, still kept
