Chapter 10: The chaotic Hippocoon (part 2)

Later, they came to Roger’s house. The door closed silently not like usual. Suddenly, the door was pulled open the door. Roger appeared.

“Heracles, Gwen, what are you doing here?” said Roger in surprised voice.

“We come to meet you.” said Heracles, “You intend to go out?”

“Yes, I planned to go out a little.” Roger replied, “Anyway, come in. I will find the way and go later.” He turned back at one.

“I heard that you are winners of the ten days of natural survival this year.” the voice of Roger echoed from inside.

“Yes, we did.” said Heracles walking after him. He and Gwen got pass the door then managed to have seats on Roger’s tea table.

“How the thing happened? I feel really excited.” said Roger staring at Heracles and Gwen and waiting.

“Many things did happen.” said Gwen quickly, he turned excited again, “We were attacked at right the first day of flag robbing game at the time you would never thought of. The Aresans came and robbed one of our stratiotes flags in dinner --.”

Gwen kept talking in long time till all details of the ten days of natural survival were talked. As like other, Roger kept staying listening to him excitedly.

“I don’t think that those things could happen in your games.” said Roger in deep voice, “Guess you both can get some lessons from it.”

“Yes, you’re right Roger.” said Gwen, “Some people can betray us because of benefit, not to care that how much we treat them well before.”

“Come on Gwen” said Heracles, “You don’t need to talk more about it. We had better forget it. Don’t let it bother us more.”

“You’re right, Heracles.” said Gwen. He didn’t talk more about the thing.

“So how are you recently?” said Heracles looking at Roger, “We’ve not met in long time.”

“I’m still fine.” said Roger in deep voice, “But,”

“Roger,” said Gwen interrupting him. He seemed to remember something, “How about the hooded girl? Do you discover anything about her?”

“It’s the thing which is bothering me.” said Roger still in deep voice, “After you left, I did come back to the place few times but instead of seeing the hooded girl, I saw a dead.”

“A dead.” cried Heracles and Gwen at one, “Is it the hooded girl?” said Heracles quickly.

“No, she’s not.” said Roger, “She didn’t wear hooded cloak but she wore things like your class uniform. When I found, she had died and left on the walk side. There had no wound on her body. Her uniform even was still neat on her body. It looked as like she was sleeping but in reality her soul was taken away.”

“Did you talk it to anyone after you found her?” asked Gwen.

“Yes, I informed it to Professor Linus at one. He had come and brought the girl back to the castle after that. Guess you both have to know about it right after you came back from the ten days of natural survival and be recommended not to come near the forest this time. That’s why I felt surprised as I saw you both here.”

“When did the thing happen?” asked Heracles.

“Right before the day you came back from the ten days of natural survival.” said Roger.

“It’s the third day of flag robbing game.” said Gwen.

“Yes, it’s the third day. The Herathyias left the place at evening of the second day. Therefore, Professor Linus had to stay in castle on the third day. He knew everything while other professors didn’t know anything because they were with us in the forest.” said Heracles, “Did he hide all us about it? We really weren't told anything about that. What does Professor Linus plan to do? I doubt it.” said Heracles.

“Don’t think that, Heracles.” said Roger calmly, “Never doubt your professors. They are people who always try to protect you in safe. Remember it.”

Heracles turned speechless few moments. “You’re right.” he said at last. 

They kept staying at there talking to Roger for a while then Heracles and Gwen made their way back to the castle. Roger also left his house. He and Bob walked toward the forest after that. When Heracles and Gwen turned back the castle, it’s still bright. It seemed they didn’t spend too much time with Roger on the day.

“Why did Professor Linus hide us the thing?” Heracles’s voice turned much high. They were steeping on a staircase in the castle. “What did he do it for?”

“Dunno but it must have some reason there.” said Gwen thoughtfully. They kept going up the stair then steeped on a lobby. Suddenly, Heracles saw a familiar shape which was at the middle of the lobby. It’s Professor Linus. He was accompanying with some of red-armband members. They hurriedly came to the corner at the end of the lobby, turned their way and then quickly disappeared. Thought no one of them talked to each other anything, Heracles and Gwen immediately followed them. They passed few staircases and lobbies. At last, Professor Linus led the people to his office. He opened the door then walked in it first. The others were right after him, walking in the room then closed the door. Heracles and Gwen walked out from their hiding place at the beginning of the lobby, hurriedly approached to Professor Linus’s office. The door had been closed, they couldn’t look through it. They pressed their ears to the door, tried to listen. 

“Do you hear anything?” whispered Gwen.

“No, I’m not.” replied Heracles, still pressing his ear on the door.

The room turned silent for a while. Heracles and Gwen still kept outside, pressing their ears on the door. 

“Do you find out anything?” the voice of Professor Linus. 

“No, we don’t professor.” said one of red-armband member. “Anyway, we should let others know about it. We can’t both keep watching for everything and discover it. It’s over our ability.”

“I also thought about it but if we let them know it, this place will turn chaotic at one. We will get more difficult to find out it. Therefore, I want to keep it in silence and secretly find everything before let them know.”

“Whatever, still keep it in secret. I don’t want all things turn noisy.” added Professor Linus. -- 

“He wants to secretly discover.” said Gwen, turning to Heracles.

“Yeah.” said Heracles, forgetting to lower his voice.

“Who’s that?” shouted Professor Linus. Heracles and Gwen immediately left the place, rushing into the end of the lobby where a staircase was. As soon as they reached on there, turn their way steeping in the corner, the door of Professor Linus’s office opened. Professor Linus appeared after that and only caught the shape of them at the end of the lobby. He stood still there in moments.
