Chapter 11: The invisible powder (part 4)

Heracles and the others came back their dorm before the dinner. Heracles and Gwen walked toward the male restroom, went in two separate stalls. They shut the doors closed.

“It’s so great Heracles. We can go to everywhere we want but not to be found out of others. And what we need is a little this invisible powder. It’s really magical powder.” the excited voice of Gwen came out from the room.

“Yes, you are right. This’s a great powder but it’s also too dangerous if it fall into bad guys. I don’t dare to think about what they can do after that.” said Heracles, “I think we should talk Amelinda to keep the invisible powder in secret.”

“You’re right.” said Gwen.

The doors opened widely. The white smoke poured out from the room. Heracles and Gwen burst out from the smoke. They gathered and quickly walked out the restroom. As soon as they strode off, another door inside the restroom slid open. A person walked out from the toilet room. The stood still there, looked toward the exit where Heracles and Gwen just crossed. He was the person both Heracles and Gwen knew. He was…

***

From the distance, something was heading toward the castle Methonia. It kept flying, turned closer and closer. When it came near, there was a giant griffin on the sky, upon it sitting a long silver hair and beard man putting in gray. The griffin landed down on ground next to the place Professor Linus and Genevieve who were standing there waiting for the man mounting on the griffin. As soon as the griffin stood still, the man leapt down in front of Professor Linus and Professor Genevieve. He was Professor Finn.

“Professor Finn.” said Professor Genevieve. Professor Finn nodded and then made his way stride off. Professor Genevieve and Linus hurriedly went after him. They walked toward Castle Methonia. His long cloak swept on ground right after his feet. “How long did the thing happen?” said Professor Finn in his deep voice.

“It happened before the ten days of natural survival finished.” said Professor Linus.

“Why didn’t you report it to me?” said Professor Finn.

“It’s because I want to handle it myself. I don’t think it’s so troublesome.” said Professor Linus.

“So did you find out anything?” said Professor Finn, walked into the castle hall.

“Not much but we lost two members of red-armband team.” said Professor Linus.

They quickly got out of the hall, steeped on staircases and then found the way to the place which Heracles and others couldn’t reach on.

A short meeting was held right after that. All professors were asked to come and join it. At last, they all decided to use castle Methonia’s shield. All people of the four families were summoned in the castle hall in the next morning. Professor Finn and other had been there as they walked in. They all were sitting on table set at one side at the end of the hall where the owl odd wisdom stood on its pole. Except Professor Finn, the others there turned noisy they spoke to others in anxious voice. Then Professor Finn stood up, walked ahead then stopped in front of all students there. He opened his arms widely.

“All, pay attention.” he said, “Some can know but some can not that one girl has killed and two red-armband members are missing. It’s because of what I don’t know for sure but according to Professor Linus, it seems to be something very dangerous. It has power which may threaten to all of us people living in castle Methonia. We will try to find it as quickly as possible.” Professor Finn raised his voice, “But, till it happen, the castle Methonia’s shield will be used to keep you all inside in in order to protect your lives. Therefore, I want all of you to come here, inform it to you and make sure that no one was absent.”

“Professor Linus,” he added turned to Professor Linus who was standing beside the table, “Is there any of the four families’ members not here?”

“They are all here Professor Finn.” said Professor Linus.

“Alright, I will start now.” said Professor Finn. He turned his way to the owl of wisdom which at the moment looked like a statue. Professor Finn held his scepter tightly then. He touched the head of owl of wisdom by the crystal ball upon his scepter. “Xypniste” she said. A flow of silver energy poured out from Professor Finn’s scepter, entering in the head of the owl of wisdom. The feathers of the owl of wisdom turned to be gold. It opened its eyes, still kept staying on its pole. “Are you sure Finn?” said the owl of wisdom.

“Yes, we need to do it now.”

“How long is it Finn from the last time you called me up to do the thing.” said the owl of wisdom in scary voice, flying up, “It’s about fifty years, right? No, it must be longer. I really don’t remember it but if castle Mehthonia need me for protect it, I will do it.”

The owl of wisdom kept staying in midair for a while, spreading golden light. Then it fluttered up, flying through the hall ceiling then then all of the floors to the top of the castle. It kept flying up higher and higher. At last, it stopped in the sky and then flapped violently. Many yellow light waves appeared from its place then spread out widely moving and covering around castle Methonia, the four family dorms, nursery and all structures around there. Later, a large shield was formed covered whole the place. The owl of wisdom stopped fluttering then turned petrified. It and the light shield became a unified whole that its body still kept in midair, didn’t turn back its pole. Everyone was allowed to go outside to take a look. When they made the way to there, the shield had been there. It waved like water surface, transparent that people could see through. The shield emitted gently golden light. Though it looked soft, it was in reality tough, not to be broken by both strength and magic.

They four families’ members scattered after that. The red-armband members also left, going with the people who walked back their rooms in the place in order to rest because they didn’t need to patrol anymore. Later, Professor Finn and the other also left. They managed to walked castle Methonia and then later, they all gathered in a room and had other discussions. It quickly turned dark after that. Heracles, Gwen and Amelinda at last, turned back their dorm after long time wandering around and observing the shield.

Chapter 10: I am Heracles (part 3)

“The girl who came from outside.” said Elder D. “There is no such person here.” Squealed Aunt Calliope. “The girl you called Amanda.” said Elder shortly, still with his cold voice. “There must be some mistake here. She is not from the outside. She is my child.” Aunt Calliope squealed. “Dare you doubt Lord’s decision.” frieghtened Elder D, not heard her explained. The face of Aunt Calliope froze at one. “No, I don’t.” said Aunt Calliope weakly. “Take her to here. I don’t have much time.” ordered Elder D. “Give me a minute.” Aunt Calliope replied. She turned her way walked inside. She passed Heracles’s and Gwen’s room before reached to Amelinda’s and Lily’s. Her footsteps were clear in the still night and made Heracles wake up. Open the door, Aunt Calliope walked in. Amelinda and Lily were sleeping. Aunt Calliope managed to the bed’s edge. She sat down, gently touched on Amelinda. “Wake up Amanda.” she called, shaking her softly. Amelinda got up. She opened eyes looking at Aunt Calliope

“But it don’t mean he died.” said Aunt Calliope. “So what happened to him? Why does not he wake up?” squealed Amelinda. “He was cursed.” she said, “This black fire is the thing which burn soul. Anyone catch it, it will burn their soul till they die. Luckily, spirits of the forest had protected his soul forcing him to stop breathing and prevent the black fire to come his heart. I will put out the fire and then he will wake up.” she said. The she raised her stick closer Gwen’s hand. “Ka-Tha-Ri-Mos.” she spelled. The black fire was extinguished at one. The firefly shaped spirits left Gwen’s wrist scattering to midair then vanished. Gwen’s eyelids twitched. He coughed and then breathed again. He opened eyes and looked at to everyone. “He wakes up. He’s alive.” Amelinda yelled. She smiled happily and hugged on Lily who was by her. Gwen on other hand didn’t understand much. He turned to Heracles, asked by weak voice. “What’s going on? Why does she look so happy?” he said innocently. “We thou
