Chapter 13: The Nemean lion (part 1)

The next days, all things still happed as usual. Heracles and others went to class in morning and returned the dorm for lunch and then spent time in their rooms after that. Sometime, Heracles and Gwen also made their way to get out of their dorm, wandering around in front of castle Methonia. They found the way to look through the castle’s shield heading to Roger’s house. However, they only saw the shape of Roger’s wooden house which looked very tiny from the place Heracles and Gwen were. It stood lonely and quietly at the edge of the forest.

Sometimes, they caught Professor Finn mounting on his griffin, left the castle heading to the forest and turned back in the same day, maybe at the late afternoon or also maybe in night. Their family leader, Professor Oswald and other family leaders also left the castle to go to the forest in the period of time. Of course, they all didn’t mount on anything like a griffin, just walking to there and used to turn back before the dinner.

“We should find Professor Oswald and ask him a little. He has to pass there, Roger’s house as he come back from the forest.” the voice of Heracles. He and Gwen were staying in their dorm room.

“Yes, you’re right. He also can meet Roger at somewhere outside in the forest. I’m sure that he got some news of Roger.” said Gwen.

“Go! I want to wait for him in front of castle before he comes back and got in his office.” said Heracles. He made his way to go at one. Gwen was right after him. He quickly caught up and then walked by Heracles.

“I just think of it, Gwen.” said Heracles, “I planned to tell you right the time I thought about it in the first time but at the time you did fall in sleep. Therefore, I didn’t wake you up to tell you and then forgot it till now.”

“What’s that?” asked Gwen curiously.

“I did spend much time thinking about my nightmare. You know exactly what I am talking about right?” said Heracles turning to Gwen.

“Yes, I know it but what did you get?” said Gwen.

“I tried to connect parts of my dream with the things we did know. They gave me an omen about the things which will happen in future. I heard Professor Linus talk about a dead girl and two missing people and it happened. I saw and heard Professor Keisha in my dream and it’s also happened. There has only the last piece of my dream which has not happened. That is the appearance of a giant lion. It also gave me an idea that the giant lion may be the intruder.” said Heracles, staring at Gwen.

“Are you sure?” said Gwen, looked at Heracles by his wide opening eyes.

“I’m not one hundred percent sure but I can say that.” said Heracles.

“A giant lion” squealed; “How can it happen? Why did people find it?” groaned Gwen, “If so, we are really in danger?”

“Stop it, Gwen. It is not that serious. At least, we are in safe in the castle’s shield now.” said Heracles, “However, there still has one thing I don’t understand that I didn’t see any half-blood god person in the nightmare. If the person appear, my dream will become more reasonable.”

“Uh hmmm. I see.” said Gwen thoughtfully.

“However, all dreams or even omen are incomplete puzzles.” added Gwen.

“You may be right.” said Heracles.

They kept going and later came to front of the castle, stood still there waiting for Professor Oswald.

A crowd of people appeared at the forest’s edge, kept heading to the castle where Heracles and Gwen were. They were Professor Oswald, Linus, Genevieve and Elfleda, the four family leaders. They quickly approached to the castle’s shield, stood still there. Professor Genevieve grabbed her scepter, touched on the castle’s shield then muttered something. At right the place her scepter touched on, the shield melted away, creating a hole. It’s enough large for them to go in.

“Professor Oswald.” called Heracles. Professor Oswald stopped on his way asking the others to keep walking. Heracles and Gwen hurriedly approached to him.

“Something wrong, boys?” asked Professor Oswald.

“We want to ask about Roger. He is our friend. Did you meet him there? Is he still okay?” asked Heracles.

Professor Oswald kept speechless for a while. “I didn’t meet him there.” he said, “He is not in his house. I think he is somewhere in forest now doing his duty. Though I don’t meet him, I think he is still okay. Don’t worry too much.”

“Yes, I know” said Heracles,

“So do you find anything there in forest?” he added

“No, we still haven't found anything yet. The forest is too wide, not easy to search anything in there. Furthermore, not all places in forest we are allowed to come in, they have their own owners.” said Professor Oswald.

“Will you be back in the forest?” asked Heracles.

“Yes, we will.” answered Professor Oswald

“If you meet him, Roger in somewhere outside, please tell us.” said Heracles.

“Of course, I will tell you.” said Professor Oswald, “Anyway, it’s time for dinner. Do you feel hungry? Let go to canteen and get some food. I also go and find something to eat.”

“Yes, we’ll go now.” said Heracles.

Professor Oswald strode off. He headed the castle to join with other Professor to have the dinner inside it. Heracles and Gwen also left. They walked toward their family’s canteen and gathered with Amelinda there. They got the dinner and quickly finished it. After that they made their way to return their rooms.

The next morning, Professor Finn left the castle in hurry. He seemed to have something urgent to do that he and his griffin rushed out of castle Methonia at early morning and didn’t come back in the day. A few days later, Heracles also didn’t see his presence. On other the hands, other professors kept inside the castle’s shield, not to go in forest with Professor Finn. They kept staying around the castle and their family. Then few later, they also vanished as like Professor Finn. Instead of them, the red-armband team started scattering and wandering around the place. The thing also happened in few days then the people turned into their daily routines.

Chapter 10: I am Heracles (part 7)

“Do you believe me?” said Heracles seriously glaring on his friend. Look into Heracles’s eyes, Gwen had never seen he is so serious. Still kept silent, he bowed his head. “Will you follow my words?” asked Heracles again. “Yes, I will. But, can you behave as usual, Agassi? You make me a little scared.” said Gwen. “Listen to me Gwen.” said Heracles, hurriedly left the bed coming to the clothes hanger, “You’re Gwen and I’m Heracles. They are our names. They don’t change though others call us by anything.” he stressed, his hand grabbed on his clothes and managed to put in it, “It’s very difficult for you to accept it now” he lowered his voice, “but we have been enchanted. That’s why you and even I can not remember ourselves. Now I can not help you to remember all the things right at one. I only can tell you little by little. However, it took us much time while we don’t have. Amelinda is in danger. We have to go to help her.” he turned back the bed giving Gwen his clothes. “Who is Ameninda?

Chapter 11: The gate (part 1)

It’s morning. Sunlight shone to everywhere. Heracles and Gwen were lying on a large round piece of metal meticulously sculpted a hammer and an anvil in the central and snakes winding around. The round piece of metal looked like a trapdoor, very tough and heavy that only people having enormous power could take it up. Heracles was lying on his back and his right hand was holding the sword; Gwen’s on other side lying on his stomach. The helmet was still on his head while the metal shield was brought on his back. Kon had vanished. Heat coming from the trapdoor made Gwen wake up. With wincing face Gwen contorted his body to sit up. Whole his body was in pain as though he had just passed a fight. He adjusted the wide helmet and looked. Beside him his friend. Heracles was there.  “Heracles!” he called softly, gently touched on his friend and not forgot to observe around. Heracles woke. He sat up. “Gwen” he said.  “Heracles - look! Where is this place? Why are we here?” asked Gwen, still kept
