Chapter 10: The chaotic Hippocoon (part 3)

“Who is that professor?” the voice of a red-armband member echoed out from the room.

“None.” said Professor Linus shortly. He made his way to walk in and closed the door after that. At the moment, Heracles and Gwen were hiding themselves in the corner, tried to keep silent. They could hear the sound of their heart beating which turned much more fast and clear than ever. When the sound of the door shutting, Heracles and Gwen peeked out, took a look then turn back, leaning against the wall.

“Does he see us?” asked Gwen.

“Hope he doesn’t.” said Heracles.

Later, they left the place and then walked toward their dorm. They met Amelinda in canteen at the dinner. They found the way to tell her all the things they found out that day. It made Amelinda very surprised as she was let to know. She nearly screamed and had to cover her mouth by hand when they told her about the dead girl. When the dinner finished, they were the last people who left the place and turned back their rooms. It’s pretty late. Heracles and Gwen did have a long day. They both felt a little tired so they went to their bed early.

The next days, Heracles and Gwen tried to act normally whenever they met Professor Linus. They didn’t want him to that they were the people who stood outside his office. However, it’s not like their expectation, Professor Linus seemed not to pay attention on them a little. He’s too busy with his job. Therefore, Heracles and Gwen decided still to pay attention on him and the red-armband term but they didn’t follow them too close. Few days later, they turned back their daily routines not following them anymore because they didn’t get anything. Then the thing seemed to be forgotten till a day Heracles and Gwen came to their class and listened to a group of their classmates talking.

“Did you hear it?” said one of them. He was Wolfgang who has sharp, dark eyes and messy hair and dark skin.

“What do you want to mention?” asked the person sitting at the table with him, Baldwin, one with blond hair and reckless and also brave.

Wolfgang peeked out, looked around and then put their heads together. They spoke in whispered voice but Heracles and Gwen still could listen if they noticed.

“I heard some of our seniors told that Professor Linus was very rage with the red-armband team. They seemed to do a very very serious mistake. The seniors told that they had never seen Professor Linus turned much angry like that.”

“But, what did the red-armband team do?”

“Donnu. Our seniors still didn’t have the chance to mention it. As soon as they saw Professor Linus, they scattered.” --

Heracles and Gwen listened for them a while and quickly found something. Heracles turned to Gwen.

“It can relate the girl.” said Heracles. He didn’t dare to say the dead girl because didn’t want to attract others’ attentions.

“Yeah,” said Gwen. He understood what Gwen mentioned, “But, I think there had some other things happen.”

Later, Amelinda appeared. She rushed into them at one.

“Heracles, Gwen.” she said, managed to sit on her chair, turning her back to the desk. She bent her head together with Heracles’s and Gwen’s.

“You will never think of it.” whispered Amelinda, “Two members of red-armband did vanish.”

“What?” cried of Gwen, “Where did you get the news.”

“Shhh!” Amelinda put finger on her mouth, staring at Gwen, “I heard it from Professor Drusilla but the thing is still not announced. Professor Finn is on the way to get back. When he comes back, it will be announced.”

“Why they have to wait for him? Why don’t they let us know in right time?” said Heracles curiously.

“It’s a big problem.” said Amelinda, “As you know one girl has died and now two members of the red-armband who went to investigate about her death now are missing. Professor Linus seemed not able to handle the thing more. He turned much tempered and confused. At this moment all members of red-armband are ordered to keep the thing in secret. Furthermore, they were requested to keep all people staying inside the castles or their dorms. No one is allowed to walk out from their even professors.”

“Even professors.” repeated Gwen.

“Yes,” said Amelinda, “They fear that some of professors also relate to the thing. Anyway, I think that we will not able to come and meet Roger for a while.”

“It’s not what I care now.” said Heracles thoughtfully. His mind at the moment was filled full by image of the hooded girl.

***

The dead girl and two missing red-armband members were not kept in secret in long time. People started rumoring in the next days. It made the place turned much chaotic after that. Some of them felt scared wanting to come back their homes, some of them turned excited wanting to go and discover. There were very few people still keeping their daily routines, not care much about it. However, all of them were forced to stay still around in castle Methonia. On other hand, Heracles felt really impatient. He wanted to meet Roger, ask him something and release his mind from things which were bothering him.

The more days passed, the more the place turned chaotic. Except Herathyia family, others used to gather in their family rooms, kept staying in the place till midnight and made rumors turn much untrue. Many rumors related to Professor Linus and his red-armband team. They doubted them. They believed that the dead girl and the missing red-armband members related to Professor Linus and the others that’s why they wanted to hide the thing. On other hand, Professor Linus and his red-armband team still did their jobs. Professor Linus went to classes as usual while red-armband kept rounding the castle and forced all people in it.

“Is there any way to leave here?” said Heracles. He, Gwen and Amelinda were staying in their family library. It at the moment turned much deserted than ever. They didn’t want to gather with others in their family room.

“Where do you want to go?” said Amelinda.

“Go to meet Roger a little.” said Heracles.

Amelinda kept silent for a while thinking. “Honestly, I can help you a little.” she said.

“How?” asked Heracles immediately.

“I think about some herbs which recently I read in some books. They were used to make invisible powder. However, I need to read more to for sure which the recipe of the powder is.”

“How many days you need?” asked Heracles.

“Just one day to get the recipe. After that, we will go and try to make it.” said Amekinda.

“Okay,” said Heracles, “We will find you on the day after tomorrow.”

“Gwen -- wake up!” said Heracles, shook Gwen who was sleeping, leaning on table by his face.

“What happen?” squealed Gwen, sat up. His eyes still closed.

“Time to turn back our room and sleep.” said Heracles.

Chapter 10: I am Heracles (part 7)

“Do you believe me?” said Heracles seriously glaring on his friend. Look into Heracles’s eyes, Gwen had never seen he is so serious. Still kept silent, he bowed his head. “Will you follow my words?” asked Heracles again. “Yes, I will. But, can you behave as usual, Agassi? You make me a little scared.” said Gwen. “Listen to me Gwen.” said Heracles, hurriedly left the bed coming to the clothes hanger, “You’re Gwen and I’m Heracles. They are our names. They don’t change though others call us by anything.” he stressed, his hand grabbed on his clothes and managed to put in it, “It’s very difficult for you to accept it now” he lowered his voice, “but we have been enchanted. That’s why you and even I can not remember ourselves. Now I can not help you to remember all the things right at one. I only can tell you little by little. However, it took us much time while we don’t have. Amelinda is in danger. We have to go to help her.” he turned back the bed giving Gwen his clothes. “Who is Ameninda?

Chapter 11: The gate (part 1)

It’s morning. Sunlight shone to everywhere. Heracles and Gwen were lying on a large round piece of metal meticulously sculpted a hammer and an anvil in the central and snakes winding around. The round piece of metal looked like a trapdoor, very tough and heavy that only people having enormous power could take it up. Heracles was lying on his back and his right hand was holding the sword; Gwen’s on other side lying on his stomach. The helmet was still on his head while the metal shield was brought on his back. Kon had vanished. Heat coming from the trapdoor made Gwen wake up. With wincing face Gwen contorted his body to sit up. Whole his body was in pain as though he had just passed a fight. He adjusted the wide helmet and looked. Beside him his friend. Heracles was there.  “Heracles!” he called softly, gently touched on his friend and not forgot to observe around. Heracles woke. He sat up. “Gwen” he said.  “Heracles - look! Where is this place? Why are we here?” asked Gwen, still kept
