Chapter 14: The family torch (part 1)

Heracles didn’t know how much time he had fainted but as he woke up he had been in health room, lying on a bed. His two hands were bandaged completely. He turned to left and saw Gwen who also lying in there on the bed next to him, sleeping. His one leg was bandaged and hung up.

“Gwen.” Heracles called.

Gwen woke up. “Heracles--” he said, rubbing his eyes. “How do you feel now?” he added.

“I’m fine.” said Heracles, “But, how could we come back to castle Methonia?”

“Amelinda and Roger has come and brought us to here. At that time, you are fainted so you didn’t know it.” said Gwen.

“Amelinda and Roger,” Heracles raised his voice, “How could they find us? Furthermore, how could they escape from the Nemean lion to bring us to here?”

“I don’t know. I had fainted before I could know what had happened.” said Gwen, “We have to wait and ask Amelinda as she comes here, after the class. Miss Gloria told me that she always come in the days we are here.”

“I will wait for her.” said Heracles. He turned silent in second thinking. “Do you know how long we stay here?” he added.

“It’s about three days.” replied Gwen.

“Three days.” Heracles raised his voice, “You mean that I did sleep in three days?”

“Yes, you did.” Gwen answered.

“Amelinda – you come again. I told you that they need to more time to rest.” voice of a woman came from outside the room.

“Just a little time – miss. Gloria. I want to see whether they are better or not.” the voice of Amelinda.

“Okay, you come in but don't take too long.” said Miss Gloria.

Then footsteps approached. Amelinda broke in, passing curtain hanging at the door. “Heracles – Gwen. You did wake up.” she said.

“Yes, we did wake up.” said Heracles.

“How do you both feel now?” asked Amelinda, looking at Heracles then Gwen.

“I’m fine, just feel a little uncomfortable because I can’t move out of this bed.” said Gwen, swinging his bandaged foot.

“I’m okay.” said Heracles, “just not able to feel my arms.”

“Oh god,” creamed Amelinda, “You don’t know that how did you look like as I and Roger found you. Your arm bones were almost broken completely while Gwen’s leg was broken. You both were fainted, one lying on grass by a terrible creature and the other on the stone.”

“But, how did you and Roger found us? How could you get out from castle’s shield? And what i feel curious most is how you and Roger could escape from the Nemean lion?” said Heracles impatiently.

“God – Heracles, please keep calm. I will answer all your question.” said Amelinda.

“When you both left the castle, professors quickly knew that the castle’s shield was broken. They summoned all the four members in the castle’s hall and found out that you and Gwen were not staying in there. Therefore, they decided get out and find you two.” She stopped a little, “I had to insist them in long time in order to go and find you with them. At last, Professor Oswald agreed me to go with a condition that I had to accompany with him.”

“Oh why did you go with Roger and find us after that?” said Gwen suddenly.

“Yes, I still went with Professor Oswald till we met him Roger. We had a conversation and when we separated I offered Professor Oswald to go with Roger and he agreed. Therefore, I went with him after that. We kept walking deeply in forest, trying to find you both after that.”

“How did you find us?” asked Heracles.

“It’s because of the roar. We followed it.” said Amelinda, “At the first time we heard the roar, we believed that something unusual was happening there. We turned our way, walking toward the place. And when the second roar spread out, we nearly reached on you. Therefore, we sped up, trying to walk to the place as fast as we could. When we came there, I almost froze. I saw you and a very terrible creature. However, everything was relieved. I saw you both only fainted while the Nemean lion had died.”

“-- Had die --” cried Heracles, “How could it be? Who did kill it?”

“I don’t know. There had no one but you two at the place. You even lied with it the same place by some ways.” said Amelinda, “It took us a little time to take you away from it and then found that all your arm bones were broken. Roger laid you on grass after that and then made his way to go and brought Gwen down there. He also went into the cave and discovered two red-armband members there, at the end of the covered.”

“How were they at the time?” said Heracles.

“They are still alive, just be enchanted that made them fall in sleep in many days. They were woken up after that. Their bodies had no wound but their spirit turned unstable, anxious and frightened. They were brought to here with you and kept staying and left after one day as they felt better.”

“How about the hooded girl?” asked Heracles again.

“Hooded girl --” squealed Amelinda, “Why do you ask about her? We didn’t see any hooded girl there.”

It gave both Heracles and Gwen odd feeling. They turned to each other then turned back to Amelinda.

“You said that you didn’t see any hooded girl?” said Heracles suspiciously.

“Yes, both I and Roger didn’t see any hooded girl there.” said Amelinda surely.

“But, we both saw her go in the cave.” said Gwen in high-pitched voice.

“I don’t know. She must leave before we came. I can sure that I and Roger did search each place in the cave.” said Amelinda, looking at Heracles and Gwen.

“I could happen.” said Heracles thoughtfully.

“It’s over, Amelinda.” the voice of a woman coming in. The curtain was pushed aside. A big fat woman walked in. “You need to go, leaving them the time to rest.”

“I will go now, miss, Gloria.” said Amelinda quickly. “I will come back and meet you later.” she added then made her way strode out the place, passing the curtain and then vanished. Miss Gloria still kept in the room, observing Heracles and Gwen.

Chapter 10: I am Heracles (part 7)

“Do you believe me?” said Heracles seriously glaring on his friend. Look into Heracles’s eyes, Gwen had never seen he is so serious. Still kept silent, he bowed his head. “Will you follow my words?” asked Heracles again. “Yes, I will. But, can you behave as usual, Agassi? You make me a little scared.” said Gwen. “Listen to me Gwen.” said Heracles, hurriedly left the bed coming to the clothes hanger, “You’re Gwen and I’m Heracles. They are our names. They don’t change though others call us by anything.” he stressed, his hand grabbed on his clothes and managed to put in it, “It’s very difficult for you to accept it now” he lowered his voice, “but we have been enchanted. That’s why you and even I can not remember ourselves. Now I can not help you to remember all the things right at one. I only can tell you little by little. However, it took us much time while we don’t have. Amelinda is in danger. We have to go to help her.” he turned back the bed giving Gwen his clothes. “Who is Ameninda?

Chapter 11: The gate (part 1)

It’s morning. Sunlight shone to everywhere. Heracles and Gwen were lying on a large round piece of metal meticulously sculpted a hammer and an anvil in the central and snakes winding around. The round piece of metal looked like a trapdoor, very tough and heavy that only people having enormous power could take it up. Heracles was lying on his back and his right hand was holding the sword; Gwen’s on other side lying on his stomach. The helmet was still on his head while the metal shield was brought on his back. Kon had vanished. Heat coming from the trapdoor made Gwen wake up. With wincing face Gwen contorted his body to sit up. Whole his body was in pain as though he had just passed a fight. He adjusted the wide helmet and looked. Beside him his friend. Heracles was there.  “Heracles!” he called softly, gently touched on his friend and not forgot to observe around. Heracles woke. He sat up. “Gwen” he said.  “Heracles - look! Where is this place? Why are we here?” asked Gwen, still kept
