Chapter 10: I am Heracles (part 7)

“Do you believe me?” said Heracles seriously glaring on his friend.

Look into Heracles’s eyes, Gwen had never seen he is so serious. Still kept silent, he bowed his head.

“Will you follow my words?” asked Heracles again.

“Yes, I will. But, can you behave as usual, Agassi? You make me a little scared.” said Gwen.

“Listen to me Gwen.” said Heracles, hurriedly left the bed coming to the clothes hanger, “You’re Gwen and I’m Heracles. They are our names. They don’t change though others call us by anything.” he stressed, his hand grabbed on his clothes and managed to put in it, “It’s very difficult for you to accept it now” he lowered his voice, “but we have been enchanted. That’s why you and even I can not remember ourselves. Now I can not help you to remember all the things right at one. I only can tell you little by little. However, it took us much time while we don’t have. Amelinda is in danger. We have to go to help her.” he turned back the bed giving Gwen his clothes.

“Who is Ameninda?” Gwen spoke up.

“She is the girl you call Amamda. She is not our sister. She is our friend.” said Heracles.

“Amamda is Amelinda. She is not sister, she is friend.” repeated Gwen thoughtfully, “But, was she brought to Lord? Why can she get in danger?” she spoke up.

“It’s the reason brought her to danger.” said Heracles.

“Why do you tell that?” squealed Gwen, “You mean.” he stopped, looked at Heracles.

“Listen to me, Gwen. I don’t have time to explain now. I will talk you more later on the way we go to find her. Now, let wear your clothes. We have to leave.” said Heracles.

Take clothes, Gwen left the bed then dressed. In the time, Heracles had come to the door, opened it ajar and peered out. He looked around.

“You plan to leave without talking to Lily.” Gwen spoke up.

“Yes, I plan not to talk to her” said Heracles. He closed the door, turned back. “Are you done?” he added.

“Yes, I am.” replied Gwen, moving toward Heracles. The door slowly opened, Heracles walked out then Gwen. They silently stepped to the living room then made their way leave. The sunset is coming. Two shapes of Heracles and Gwen were outside heading to the village.

“Agassi, why do you think that Amanda is in danger?” Gwen spoke up.

“I am Heracles, Gwen.” said Heracles.

“Yeah, Heracles.” said Gwen.

“Honestly, I don’t know she get in danger. The Nemea lion talked me. It itself woke me up and talked me about it.” said Heracles.

“What is the Nemea lion?” asked Gwen curiously.

Heracles turned to his friend. He kept silent in moments then started talking to him about everything, their families, their homes, country and Hippocoon, their magic school. He also talked about the meeting of them and the Nemea lion in Hippocoon and their fight. He talked him about the Nemea suit and soul of the Nemea hiding inside it. Later, he talked about their travel going to the Treasure Island but instead of coming to the place, they were brought and were stuck there. Gwen kept silent listening Heracles talk in deep surprise. Everything he heard was strange to him but it also made him much excited.

“Everything you said is really interesting. I don’t think that I have done these things. I don’t know if it's real, but I really like life like that.” said Gwen excitedly, smiling. “However, I don’t understand. Why do you think Amelinda is in danger? She only went to meet Lord.”

“This is the problem, Gwen. People always talk about the Lord but do you know his name and have you ever seen him?” asked Heracles.

“Uhm – no, I haven’t.” said Gwen.

“It’s your problem. Why do you can ensure that the Lord is protecting this place?” asked Heracles.

“All people believe it.” said Gwen shortly.

“They are blind people but you can not like them. It is not your Lord. You and I don’t belong to this place.” said Heracles.

“Yeah, I will remember it.” said Gwen, smiling. He suddenly felt different to others living here, “Heracles,” Gwen spoke up, “Don’t you know where we can find Amelinda?”

“Honestly, I really don’t know where exactly she is now. I only know that she was brought by Elder D and Aunt Calliope is with her. Let’s come to the village and find whether she is there or not first.” said Heracles.

“Elder D, he comes to our home. When? Why did I know?” Gwen raised his voice.

“Of course, you didn’t know. He and his guards came in night while we were sleeping.  I had been woken up by noises and decided to leave bed room and saw the people bring Amelinda and Aunt Calliope to go.” recounted Heracles.

“Oh, so that is thing happen as I was sleeping.” said Gwen.

They continued walking to the village. The sun had set and replaced to it was the moon. Though it’s not bright, the moon gave them enough light to find the way to village. They were not far away. Heracles and Gwen could see light spread out from small house. They led them. Minutes later, they reached on the houses. All the doors and windows had closed. Everything turned strangely silent. Heracles and Gwen promptly approached a house.

“Do you see her?” said Gwen in whispered voice. He was on ground lifting Heracles up to the window.

“No, I don’t.” whispered Heracles, took his eyes out from the slit on the window. “Let me down.” he added. Gwen lowered his body down then Heracles stepped down. They immediately leant back again the wall avoiding light spreading out from the windows.

“Won’t we have to look through all houses to find Amelinda?” whispered Gwen.

“We have to. It is the only way we have now. Let’s check each house till we find her.” said Heracles.

Then they promptly moved toward other house. In night, they sneaked as like thieves. The house looked very similar and gathered in together. They didn’t take much time to check them but they still didn’t see Amelinda. They were in place of central houses.

Chapter 10: I am Heracles (part 2)

The last basket of orange was taken away. The men also vanished with the oranges. There were only children with Heracles, Gwen, Lily and Amelinda. They kept staying around the cart playing and talking. Lily and Gwen enjoyed participating with the children while Heracles and Amelinda seemed to be more silent.  “Agassi, come here and join with us.” called Gwen. “What do you want Peres?” Heracles said loudly. “Come here.” Gwen called again. Heracles left the cart, stepped toward Gwen. There some children were gathering around him. “What do you need Gwen?” Heracles asked. “We are playing a game. Don’t you want to join with us?” said Gwen. “What’s this?” asked Heracles. “Brother Agassi, don’t you see it?” said Gwen. He pointed to straight bamboos. Heracles looked. There had three high straight bamboos standing side by side. The bamboos were about two hundreds of yards away from their places. The middle bamboo was the highest. It’s about one hundred and fifty feet high Heracles guessed. The
