Chapter 11: The gate (part 7)

“Where is Lord, mom?” squealed Lily.

“He is there. You can see him. He is a dragon, a monster.” she added, turned to the Hydra dragon which was tied tightly by thorn convolves.

“Swallow your words Miss Calliope. In any shape he is always our Lord.” snapped Elder D.

Lily turned and looked on the Hydra dragon with incredible eyes. “No, it’s not Lord.” she squealed. Her body trembled. “Yes, he is our Lord.” said Elder D.

“My dear Lord, do you hear me?” the voice spread out the Hydra dragon’s place.

“Come here. I need your power.” the Hydra dragon spoke up. Black smoke from the elder was sucked out, flew toward the two Hydra dragon’s large mouths. Then his soul was also pulled out, twisted, divided into 2 and then sucked into the large mouths. The elder fell down, lied still on ground. His face became old and wrinkled. It looked terrible.

“My Lord, what are you doing? We are our servants.” one of the other elders spoke up.

“You all also give me your powers.” said the Hydra dragon coldly. Their souls were forced to pull out. They cried out in pain. Heracles and others could calm down as they saw the sight. Amelinda grabbed on Heracles’s arm and nestled behind his back. Elders’ souls emerged from the tops of their heads, struggling. In that period, at place where the head of Hydra dragon was cut off ugly faces appeared. They looked like the faces of elders whose souls were eaten by the Hydra dragon. They wriggled, wanting to break out from the wound. Suddenly, Elder D got again his soul. He changed into cloud of black smoke and escaped from the place but the others were not lucky like him, still struggling. “Apo-Syn-dethike.” Aunt Calliope shouted. Light flashed spreading around quickly. The elders fell down, not wrinkled as like the one lying by the Hydra dragon but their all faces turned white and lacked vitality. None of them were awake. The faces on Hydra dragon’s neck had vanished, nothing breaking out from it but its body changed. All wounds have stopped bleeding. Dark smoke enveloped whole its body. It looked more evil and bigger. Its eyes went red completely. Slowly it stood on feet. Convolves stretched and broke. Aunt Calliope turned. Her face became worried. “I think you all should go.” said Aunt Calliope.

“Strange! I feel entities of forest here.” said Hydra dragon. It turned, glaring at them.

“Leave this place right now. I will stop him.” Aunt Calliope shouted, gripping her stick. Gwen immediately grabbed on Lily hand, pulled her and ran with Heracles and Amelinda to the stairs. Two Hydra dragon’s heads watched over. Stretched two long necks, the stomach swelled up, Hydra dragon spat two black fireballs. They dropped down on ground in front of Heracles and the other. Black fire spread out and caught on everything near that. Heracles and Gwen stopped at one, hinted Amelinda and Lily stood still. They observed and carefully walked ahead. They didn’t feel the heat coming from the fire. Curiously, Gwen raised his hand reaching to the black fire. “Noooooooo,” the voice of Aunt Calliope at the end of the hall, “Don’t touch on the fire.” she screamed. Gwen pulled his hand back immediately. He saw black fire have caught on his fingertips and spreading. Gwen became confused, turned to Heracles. “I don’t feel the heat from it.” he said. Then suddenly he fell down. “Gwen! What’s going on with you?” Heracles spoke up. “But, I see fire everywhere.” said Gwen stupidly. He fainted right at the time. Lily and Amelinda promptly rushed to them. “What’s wrong with him, Heracles?” Amelinda squealed worriedly. She sat down and stayed by Heracles. “Keep away from black fire. I will come there.” said Aunt Calliope loudly. She became urgent than ever, dodged black fireballs Hydra dragon spat out. The stick was gripped in her hand. Aunt Calliope muttered something then light appeared and enveloped whole on her. She became dazzling in moments. “Ka-Tha-Ris-Bala.” she spelled up. A ball of bright light appeared and shot to one black fireball. They destroyed the others as they touched. Fireballs continued flew toward her. “Ka-Tha-Ris-Bala! Ka-Tha-Ris-Bala!...”

“Gwen, don’t you hear me? Please wake up.” Heracles’s voice came out. “Wake up, Gwen.” Heracles slammed on Gwen’s chest then gave him some breath. He repeated again and again then turned very confused after that while Amelinda had broken in tears hugging on Lily. Gwen didn’t breath anymore and they felt really helpless.

Aunt Calliope really lost her patience and lost focus in seconds taking her eyes on Heracles and the others. One fireball flew to and caught on her dress and start spreading out. Only few seconds, her lower body had been covered by black fire. Hurriedly she raised her stick cross her face. “I am Calliope. I am a white witch. I dedicate my life to you, all entities existing in the forest having come here. Please lend me your power cleaning whole the place.” she cried. As soon as she finished, around Heracles and Gwen immediately appeared firefly-shaped spirits. Some, hundreds and then thousands of them poured out from their body. Some flew toward Aunt Calliope, revolved around and extinguished the black fire on her body. Some flew to the Hydra dragon and stormed around it. “So, I’m not wrong. The things in forest also come here.” it said unpleasantly. “But, it didn’t change anything. I will destroy everything.” it added, opened mouths widely and breathed black fire out. The firefly-shaped spirits gradually vanished with the black fire. Light emerged from Heracles’s chest, something bigger thousands times than firefly-shaped spirits. With a pop the thing burst out, staggering. It’s Kon. “Hi Heracles and goodbye, I have to go now.” he said then zoomed toward Aunt Calliope. All firefly-shaped spirits immediately gathered with him, finding the way behind her. They merged. The shape gradually formed. “I share my life with you. Please take it.” Aunt Calliope roared. Her body was surrounded by silver light as light spirit and it was connected to the thing forming behind her. Her appearance changed. Her hair longer and turned white while thing behind gradually formed a young girl with long hair silvery, charming body and wide wings, hand taking a bow. The thing looked at Hydra dragon by its silver eyes soulless. “Eros-Ka-Tha-Ri-Mos” Aunt Calliope roared. The silver - winged goddess stretched her bow. Three silver arrows formed after that on the bow. Then silver she released her bow. The arrows flashed toward Hydra dragon. Hydra dragon felt the danger. It immediately spat out enormous fireballs. The arrows flew through and destroyed them at one. Two arrows pierced Hydra dragon’s heads and the other pierced on its stomach. Fire and black smoke around its body dissipated. The Hydra dragon still glared at Aunt Calliope. Its four red eyes turned gloomy then lifeless. Two heads crashed to the ground. Aunt Calliope lowered her stick down, breathed shortly. The silver-winged goddess behind her gradually dissipated and completely disappeared as though it had never existed after that. Kon vanished and firefly shaped- spirits also vanished. Aunt Calliope promptly took again her breathe then rushed toward Heracles and the others. “Let me see him.” she said. Heracles moved aside. Aunt Calliope lowered her body then sat down by Gwen who was lying on ground. She observed. Gwen had completely stopped breathing. The black fire still lived on his hand but there had some firefly shaped spirits around his wrist and were preventing the black fire to spread out but they looked very bleak. Cries came from Amelinda and Lily. Aunt Calliope “He is still alive.” she said. Cries stopped immediately. Both Heracles and Amelinda raised head up, looked on Aunt Calliope. “But, he didn’t breath anymore.” said Heracles.

Chapter 11: The gate (part 9)

A loud bag spread out above their heads. Two hooded cloak men lied quietly on ground. Roger walked to the gallery. “Heracles, Gwen and Amelinda, you all are here. It is hard to find you” he called up. He hurriedly made the way step down the stairs. Though his body was big and stout, he moved very fast coming to them and froze as he saw a dead on ground. “Who are they?” he asked softly, looking on Amelinda. “This is Lily and - Aunt Calliope.” Amelinda said hesitantly; “She is Lily’s mother. She saved all of us.” she added sadly.  Between curly hair and bushy beard which almost covered his face were warm eyes. She warmly looked on Lily who was sitting on ground holding her mother’s hand. He decided to keep silent, turned to Heracles, Gwen, Amelinda then turned to the dead Hydra dragon which was not far away from them.  “I dont know how you could kill the dragon but there has one thing we have to do before we leave this place.” said Roger calmly, “Go with me Amelinda. He turned to his coachman. “Find the way to park and make sure you can see us when we turn back. We will not here long time.” he said. “Follow your words, master.” said the coachman solemnly.
